So I was chatting with a girl about America, a pro-American girl actually and on Syria and other stuff. They actually believe America isn't involved in any of the world's conflicts, how naive they are and got very sensitive and told me to shut up and called me a dumbass because I believe America did have something to do with these issues: Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Egypt and Libya.
^lol. Yea I'm sure you ran into an American who didn't think America had anything to do with conflicts in Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan.... And I'm also sure (as you're from Canada, right), that Canadians know so much more than most people from the U.S.? Wait.... are you sure you're not talking about yourself and that YOU didn't just find out that the U.S. has had involvement in those places? I'd believe that to be more likely.
No, she positively told me that: "problem is, the US isn't involved in any of those conflicts you mentioned" when I mentioned Syria, Libya and other international conflicts. So yeah, I'd find her quotes for you, if I didn't get banned on that forum for provoking members and such.
the title of this thread is certainly true enough. and all too often in exactly the wrong ways and for wrong reasons. one does not have to be isolationist to be non-interventionist. america should certainly not be killing people for the sake of corporate profits. people desperately fighting back for their environments, their civil rights, and their very lives.
