I gotta say my favorite music to listen to on any visually oriented drug is ambient, namely acid ambient or psybient. This new ambient album just came out called: Carbon Based Lifeforms - Interlopers its amazing. if you have any like for highly atmospheric music get it somewhere also another recent one thats amazing if you never heard it is: solar fields - movements I also mixed together this DJ set with alot of my current favorite ambient tracks you can listen to it on this site: http://soundcloud.com/eem/sitting-on-a-sphere I think this kind of music can only be fully appreciated by a psychedellic mind because it invokes such vivid imagery in the imagination and just makes you float. No other genre of music feels like it eminates as much of an LSD vibe to me. But that might only be because I listened to it so much on LSD...
I feel that music in general is only fully appreciated by the psychedelic mind. *unaffiliated endorsement" I am exceedingly impressed by this band, both live and not. The Fritz, out of Jacksonville. http://www.myspace.com/thefritztunes Funk is the root of life. Anything with some funkiness is considering the power of BEAT certainty. you have the BEAT, you have the crunchy lead, then you have the SNARE. then the BBBEEEAAATTT. Variety is good. Order is better. Variety and order-- someone or something is on to some-thing.
I like music like this musically alot. But visually it doesnt interest me as much, and I don't like it as much as other things on visually oriented drugs. Because it gives me visions of people playing instruments, it makes me think of and see the band in concert or a bar and everyone focusing on the guy playing the instrument or singing. Electronic ambient like the ones I posted gives me visions of floating in space, planets solar systems, stars, geometric ornate patterns, very alien entities and worlds, underlaying energetic systems in reality.
I love the feeling that i feel on my eyes. Feeling fully IN what i am seeing. The oxygen, the love, THE SMILE!, the Tunnel. Your mind (percieved by the discription of your visualizations) seems like mine. personally i Always visualize a similar theme: It is always the interal geometry you speak of. doesnt usually consider the mode of transmission (guys playin, synth) Its just what i want to feel/see/brainfeel

We have ambient music campouts here in the summertime that are my absolute favorite. Beach camp is the best, esp when you got some good liquid in ya. Seeing glitched out beats and ambient melodies bouncing off the waves ftW. My favorite ambient artist is Distant System. that is space travel music if i ever heard it.
You guys should check out the original fathers of ambient music . . . Brian Eno and Harold Budd. These guys are next level, though their music is sometimes very haunting in a dark way https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BA4OnoukSo&feature=related"]YouTube- Brian Eno - Under Stars II https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rv7nPodKc0"]YouTube- Brian Eno, Harold Budd The Plateaux of Mirror https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ilKNAz7O6YU"]YouTube- Harold Budd and Brian Eno - Not Yet Remembered (ignore the weird video) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CTDXqZajgVU"]YouTube- Enchanted Doll (Le bambole di Marina Bychkova)
I stumbled upon this guy, Dan Gibson and the album Secrets of the Jungle and found it to be very good under the influence of psychs. He melds sounds and soundscapes from nature with music to very good effect. Could not find a sample from that particular album, but this is a good sample of his work. It is very mellow for the most part, although in Secrets there are a few pieces that are very psychedelic and not all that mellow. It is pretty good for invoking stories in your mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icKojlQtWv0&feature=related"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icKojlQtWv0&feature=related
Gorgeous! I'm pretty sure one of the tracks I've been listening to for years before going to bed is one of his. It's just a random clip I found on napster or something years ago, celtic flute music against a thunderstorm background, superbly relaxing. I found a 15gb torrent of his music
