I was checking my e-mail and of course see the news stories and one was about Afghanistan how women got to be all covered ect. Meanwhile if I want to go barefoot in the so called woke west I have already experienced confrontations. I dont have shoes on and I have gotten confronted. A confrontation by definition "clashing of forces or ideas" the threat of violence because I am not wearing shoes is there. I really don't see much difference in the pressure to wear shoes then Taliban rules in Afghanistan. Yes of course the police can't arrest me here in the west but its the same cultural phenomenon head scarves vs you must wear shoes.
I feel so sorry for you. Life must be hard for you. Women in Afghanistan can be barefoot all the time. But that is because they are not allowed in any public places. I hope your life will be better soon.
Okay bad comparison Afghanistan is an atrocity, Iran would be better. Its a decent comparison too cause in America its very possible to face the threat of violence for being barefoot. If I am in a mall barefoot and some idiot security guard says you must have shoes on and I say bullshit, there are no laws or "insurance rules" because there are not and I know this, I'm right but now its my will vs the security guards will and unless I back down at some point its a physical confrontation or the police are called. Just a made up scenario but still. As more women defy hijab laws, Iran's government pushes back
Geez! Its really not that offensive to compare these things shoes and head scarves. Look at you 172 posts and only 8 likes, I can see why. Nice ratio lol.
