yea they just had the hearing today. She was guilty of defamation and was ordered to serve 3 years but shes already been in jail for 4 years so she is free to come back to America as soon as possible.

PERUGIA, — An appeals jury on Monday overturned the murder convictions of Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito in the killing of her roommate Meredith Kircher four years ago.

The Kercher family looked on grimly as the verdict was read out by the judge after 11 hours of deliberations by the eight-member jury.

Outside the courthouse, some of the hundreds of observers shouted "Shame, shame!"
As Knox waited for the verdict to be read, she appeared tense — leaning forward in her chair, and panting and wincing between exchanges with her lawyer.

Slander convictions against Knox and Sollecito were upheld, but since those were three-year sentences they were considered time served :2thumbsup:

She killed the little girl. What a shameful, awful thing to happen: To take someone's life and then get away with it.

DNA evidence was ABUNDANT during her conviction. I really struggle to believe all that was presented before her initial conviction was contrived.

She may have acted silly, foolishly, when arrested, but acting silly doesn't prove guilt. I believe she's innocent. The so-called "DNA evidence" was not sufficient. It was a faulty investigation all around. Sloppy collection of evidence, an anti-U.S. sentiment, especially in the press. Italians who were more concerned with punishment than justice.

    I'm overjoyed.

Here's a quote from another source:

"Before the ruling, Burleigh told CNN's Randi Kaye that she would be "pretty surprised" if Knox didn't go free because "there isn't very much evidence" in the case against her.

Kaye asked Burleigh if Italian prosecutors had conducted a "witch hunt" in convicting Knox.

Burleigh answered that the Italian police investigating Kercher's murder made mistakes and that heavy media attention after Knox and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, who was also convicted, made it hard for the police to admit their mistakes and put their investigation back on a fair and correct path.

The reason Knox was falsely convicted, Burleigh suggests, is because Knox is attractive.

Everyone, Burleigh said, was "riveted" on "this woman's face" and not the facts of the crime or the case."

    I believe it.

This is correct. When she was arrested she barely spoke any italian and they used it against as a confession. Your also right about the evidence, or lack there of. :D

What fucks me up over this case is that there is a definite tendency to attribute guilt to the sexy faced ones. It's like,,"If she's not guilty, then why's she looking all 'sexy'??"

It's no crime to be sexy, people.

Guilty, your honor. Guilty of being sexy.
