When I look for anything in TIHKAL and PIHKAL thats what it feels like. I was so exited when I found Loki and then I saw it in the scams faq. From what I've read on wikipedia most of the legit distributors were shut down in 2005. I'm not asking for any sources. I know I won't find any on a public forum, especially with one post. I'm just asking if there's still one out there that I'll find with some effort(a lot of it it seems like) or if I should just give up? :banghead:
there out there somewhere. A legit one is just very hard to find for the inexperienced / unconnected.
Persistence, persistence, persistence. You'll find one. Even most of us who already HAVE sources still need to keep checking our lists, because sources can close/become scams/change stocklists all the time. It's a pretty full time occupation haha
yes, very hard!! ive spent probably a good 20 hours of looking and only towards the end did i start coming across sources that were legit, quite a few actually. unfortunately, im not connected with any of the "well-known" places either, but it's possible to find them. just very hard. lots of reading, searching, reading, searching. you have to be persistent. good luck. be smart. pandaman
Just meet people and look around. I'm sure you can find some places, as I have just been looking into all this within this year and have plenty of places I have found myself, as well as from people I have met.
If there weren't legit sources this forum would be one blank page. I got lucky and placed my first order with a japanese supplier I found just by googling a chemical. The japanese gentleman is spending most of the rest of his life in prison, so vendors are more low profile. But they can be found. Anything worth having is worth some effort.
I think he's OK that one is listed in the scam thread. Stick with it, when you catch that goose you'll find it quite wild indeed.
The post in question was removed prior to the last two posts. Just some clarification, to avoid any confusion.
Bad idea, those sources are either scams or about to be busted (for the very fact that you can find them with a yahoo search of research chemicals ) I have no idea how to find a source on the net, all the ones I have were generously given to me by kind people (or traded for by kind people). I would be extremely wary of any source you can find using a search engine like yahoo or google. That means it's not being on the down-low, and something is not right.
You can find a surprising amount of info with some clever googling, and patience. Websites, but even some decent (verified) email sources. It's not that they're not keeping themselves on the d-low, but that google's robots are stumbling across things they shouldn't be. The good thing is, that to bring this info up you need to plug in some fairly esoteric terms. So that gives the vendors a degree of safety at least.
