Alternative grains

So just from a historical perspective, Man has seemingly malted and mashed about every known grain in existance however I've looked around quite a bit but have as yet been unable to find out just w.t.h. the product of distilled Buckwheat would be? I guess I just need to get a copy of "The Practical Distiller",,, Unless someone here can answer the question :cheers2:

 

The Japanese make a distilled buckwheat product called sobashochu.
