AND makes one wonder what will happen in the future when a digger (or equivalent) unearths some of the Nuclear waste that's been covertly buried away
Hello, we have a explosive ordnance disposal service which has enough work for the following decades. Wikipedia says that on the area of the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein, which is a small state in the north of the country, about 100000 pieces of ammunition and bombs per year are rendered safe. Bombs are found at nearly every bigger construction site in Germany. And then there are millions of tons of ammunition that had been thrown into the north sea and the baltic sea. That stuff gets unstable now and is a threat for ships. Regards Gyro
Hello, jepp, it's not that you have to fear that your leg get ripped off by a landmine if you set your step next to the path, like in some areas of the former Yugoslavia or other parts of the world. Europe was a war zone and millions of tons of ammunition and bombs had been dropped here. In Germany's every day life it doesn't matter, nobody thinks about it. Regards Gyro
