Is there anyone out there who can list for me the different tenses in Spanish? I don't understand words like "past subjunctive" and all that so I won't know what it means, I'm just looking for the simple words/examples. What are all the possible tenses I could use for "hacer-" for example? Past, present, future, hypothetical, am I missing some? I need to get back to some classes but until then I'm hoping someone on the hipforums can offer me a bit of advice!

    I did (hice)
    I was doing (hacia)
    I have done (he hecho)
    I had done (habia hecho)
    I will do (hare)
    I would do (haria)
    I will have done

    ...que mas?

    Muchas gracias :)

I have no clue. I live in Honduras and am just learning Spanish. I use basic present tense and past tense. A little future tense...and it gets me by. Never took Spanish in school and just learning from chatting with chicas and text messaging since April.

    Good luck in your search.

you forgot what the books call present progressive:
"I am doing" ... "estoy hiciendo"
