Alex Pretti Shooting

For the second time this month, a US citizen has been killed by ICE officers in Minneapolis. Renee Good was killed on January 7th, and Alex Pretti was killed on January 24.

Alex Pretti was filming ICE agents. When ICE agents assaulted a nearby citzen, he stepped in the way. He was then surrounded by 8 agents and brought to the ground. First he was disarmed of his handgun. After he had been safely disarmed, ICE officers shot him to death using at least 10 shots.

During the military dictatorship here in Argentina, it was always claimed that those who were killed were dangerous armed subversives who were shot in self-defense. Later it was discovered that it was all lies and that they were killing indiscriminately.
In the USA, they are using the same methods as the dictatorships. Increasingly similar.

 

The summary execution of Alex Pretti and Renée Good were atrocities, but not isolated ones. 32 people died in ICE custody last year, and they're two of at least 9 people killed by ICE so far this January alone.
Not to minimize his murder in any way, but it's impossible to ignore the fact that the American media (and by extension, American society) didn't really take notice of Trump's Gestapo's terror campaign until the victim was a White, native-born, middle-class American male with a CWP.

Maybe instead of starting fights when they are totally out numbered and getting themselves beat up and shot protesters could think up new ideas.

I forget what protest it was they were running over the protestors but I am like flatten the tires and black paint the windshields so they cant see. Run up and poke hole in radiators.

But I am not so sure I want the whole world migrating to the US, when are we going to get to protest something else?

 

What you are describing is not nonviolent protest.

In the UK only a very small portion of police officers are armed with guns. I actually think this model makes sense. You just don't need a bunch of (or even one) lunatics running around with guns that might otherwise have been violent criminals had they not joined law enforcement.
