    is your daddy.

    www.infowars.com

saw "9/11 The Road to Tyranny", "American Dictators", and Martial Law - 9/11: Rise of the Police State"

pretty well documented stuff, stone cold facts that would leave an apologist in denial.

You can now watch Jones' new documentary, TerrorStorm, which was released just days ago, for free, in its entirety, on Google Video:

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-5948263607579389947&q=Terrorstorm

I must say that this was good, even though 99% of it talks about things I already know. It's definitely better than "Martial Law," which I thought was overhyped and sloppily put together.

The new video discusses mainly the London bombings of last summer, the police and surveillance state in London, as well as the wider "War on Terror".

And Jones IS NOT my daddy, that's for sure.

Alex Jones is definitly cool, and people that say he's a fed or crap like that...i see where they are coming from but I don't agree with them. I actually think its a fear tactic used to make this whole movement look paranoid, there aren't any feds out there spreading disinfo on 9/11 truth websites and such, IMO. But what I do think there is are feds that are involved with the movement and spy on people like alex Jones, but for him to actually be a fed covering up such big coverups is just absurd, like the government would go up to a guy and be like "hey we uh did 9/11 and we assasinate political activists all the time, and we want you to have ur own radio show and ur gonna like, spread all this disinfo to people so we don't get found out" i dunna i guess it coould happen it just kinda of sounds a little absurd to me, esp the fact they don't even need to do that, the majority of americans think people like alex jones are crazy anyway.

The thing is that all Alex Jones’ propagandising is for nought if it’s only goal is to encourage people to stare at their navel.

Think about it, what’s the point if the goal is just to talk endlessly about ‘the conspiracy’, shouldn’t it be about creating a better world?

But many of those that praise Jones don’t seem to know what they want or are hiding their views because many would see them as creating a worse situation.

So can we get hints of the direction Jones wants from the Jones websites?

    **

In the activism section of Prison planet, people are told how to bring change, but what political change do they want?

(First up is the fact that people are told to write to their political representatives and the media. But isn’t one of the main tenets of ‘the conspiracy’ the belief that the mainstream media and the elected representatives are all under the control of ‘the conspiracy’ so whats that all about)

Anyway, in one article Paul Joseph Watson (Jones long time collaborator) seems to argue that the movement should have a left wing outcome, wanting to wake the “sleeping giant” of the left wing presumably so it can build a better conspiracy free future.

But that doesn’t seem to fit in with some other aspects of ‘the conspiracy’ that claim the left are a creation of conspirators.

    *

In another section of activism they mention the excellent pamphlet ‘An Activist guide to exploiting the media’ by George Monbiot

I have mention Monbiot before and he actually doesn’t hid the direction in which he wanted that activism to go and wrote the book ‘The Age of Consent: A Manifesto for a New World Order’ to set out his vision in which he argues for international organisations.

(Discussed in these forums in the thread “Would a global government and a New World Order be a bad thing?” http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75062 )

So again this seems to clash with other parts of Jones ideas.

    *

What politically is Jones striving for?

Has he like written a mission statement, a vision for the future?

Because to me his project seems contradictory and rudderless.

Someone might believe that the ship of state is going in the wrong direction and that the captain and crew are planning on transporting you into slavery but if you rest control without a clear direction you are more likely than not going to smash the ship against the rocks and drown everyone.

Prisonplanet is a different type of site though it has articles which range from all kinds of different viewpoints, some are written by FAR left wing people and others by Far Right Wing People. What you have to do balbus is read all of them and make your own judgements and opinions based on them, a lot of that stuff I don't agree with and a lot of it I do and I form my own opinions. No not all politicians are part of a conspiracy, but the ones who's campaign funds are being completely paid off by corporations probably isn't gonna be good for us. See, this site is a little more open then the sites you visit, you visit left wing liberal sites who just talk about how dumb bush is and how the NSA shouldn't spy on us, both true statements, but it's completely bias and doesn't go anywhere. Alex Jones takes articles from Air America and Fox News...and you can read them and make your own damn conclusions, that's what freedom is all about, it's not about basing your opinion off completely left wing information or right wing information, I don't see why you can't grasp that. You act like Alex Jones Is leading people down a bad road by the articles he posts, too bad 90% are all written by other people, he is more of a blogger not an actual writer. You need to know how to look past the bullshit and form your own views.

    well said.

and I was kidding about the whole "A.J. is your daddy", in case you couldn't tell.
after watching those docs., I was wondering the same thing... what should we do about this?
yet the whole point of those flicks is to expose people to what's been going on since the last century, some things that most people refuse to accept when they are so much in denial; yet a lot of these same people seem to believe the illusion that a certain jew died for their "sins", and came back to life three days later, a magic trick that rivals Criss Angel's works.

Someone said in another thread, about how it's easy to pass off someone as a "conspiracy theorist", and it's just as easy to pass off a skeptic as a "coincidence theorist".

Are you saying you don’t care what kind of system replaces the one you dislike?

That you don’t care if it was Far left or Far right?

You wouldn’t mind living in a system as fascistic as Hitler’s or as brutal as Stalin’s.

Just as long it wasn’t the one you oppose?

Seems a bit of a silly philosophy to me and as I’ve pointed out to you before is could be very dangerous.

You see information and opinion are one thing, it is quiet another to sort out what information is good and what opinions stand up to scrutiny. The problem is that people like you and Rat - that are praising Alex Jone’s sites - don’t seem to be learning that important fact.

For example Rat has often present innuendo, supposition and opinion as ‘truth’ and been unable to defend his ideas when they failed to stand up to scrutiny.

You say people should choose their own views, but how do they know if those views are any good?

What if someone believes other groups Blacks, Slavs and Jews are all inferior races and that for the good of the white race they should be purged from society. Do you shrug and say OK, it’s their opinion, I can live with it, I don’t mind living in a world where that is the ruling doctrine so I won’t say anything against it? What about the Blacks, Slavs and Jews, should they say nothing, because this is this persons ‘truth’?

    **

The question is not the information but is it good information and is it going to lead anywhere good?

So it is interesting that you say “a lot of that stuff I don't agree with and a lot of it I do and I form my own opinions.”

So what are you political opinions and how do you think they will make things better.

It will lead people to look for something alternative to far right or far left, we have to stand somewhere in the middle, I've said many times I don't necessarily disagree with the system as far as capitalism goes and the way we have borders and national sovereignty, I say we already have that and it's being taken from us and we need to fight to keep it, I'm not trying to fight some revolution to change the way the entire system works.

Why do you even argue with Balbus when he just repeats the same garbage over and over? You can't wake up the dead, so even arguing with him is a waste of time and effort. He apparently does not get it, or rather does not want to get it, and that's fine. Many people do not want the truth, and it is easier for them to believe what they have always believed than to confront new information that challenges their rigid belief system. People are more comfortable embracing the lies they have always embraced than to actually ask questions that challenge the very belief system that holds the world as they see it with their own two eyes together.

Secondly, I don't believe anyone has to "stand in the middle" of anything, because the entire political system was created from the top down and was only designed for the masses, to keep them entrapped within a certain paradigm so they could be more easily controlled. It's more important to wake people up to that fact than attempt to appease people who follow a false system.

Balbus and his ilk can attempt to pigeonhole me because I am against socialism, collectivism, and everything else aimed at removing individuality, personal freedoms, civil liberties, and national sovereignty. But their insults will always ring hollow to those who are informed and know the score, and don't follow the system that has been handed down to them by the system.

    Rat

    LOL

People can usually work out what is a ‘garbage’ argument because it is the one that doesn’t stand up to scrutiny and can’t be defended.

You don’t even try to defend your political views and although others have tried to defend you they don’t seem to be able to either.

Why do you think that is?

If you have an answer and want to talk you could go back to one of the many threads you have run away from, where all the questions about you flawed views are unanswered.

    Angel

Imagine you had power, what would you do to save the system and bring low those you think are trying to take away the things you believe in.

Like I said before, I would make the system a capitalist system, keep the market a free market so everyone has a chance to be successful as long as they work hard, sure it has it's problems but it's the best you can get in today's world. I would guarantee Freedom of speech and there would be no political prisoners. I would not allow any secret societies or secret groups to be involved in any level of the government. I wouldn't let corporate lobbyists involve themselves in any way in congress and do my best to keep corporations out of government. I would have REAL independent investigations of all Terror Attacks and find out who really did them instead of being a coward and covering them up for the powers that be. But in the end, if I did any of this I would be killed not too long after my inauguration...

Actually, Balbus, the only time I back out of a thread is if it's turning into a petty argument or there's a bunch of assholes attacking me from all ends. Frankly, it just isn't worth it. I am not out to convince those who are asleep of anything, and if they want to believe I am full of shit or don't have my facts together, that's fine with me. Those who have taken the time to do their own research know that what I say is largely correct.

I have answered most of your questions to the best of my ability, including how socialism is a tool of the rich and causes poverty, not prosperity. Just like collectivism produces oppression, not freedom. I have explained to you why this is, but every time you have ignored what I've said and just kept repeating the same questions over and over, saying I've never answered them.

“I would make the system a capitalist system, keep the market a free market so everyone has a chance to be successful as long as they work hard”

A bit vague, but ok, something to work on. For example you go on to say that

“I would guarantee Freedom of speech”

But in a capitalistic and free market based world, media outlets are very likely to be owned by rich individuals and corporations. In such an environment these groups would dominate what is seen as ‘the news’ and manipulate peoples viewpoints in much the same way as they do now.

    Also you say –

"I wouldn’t let corporate lobbyists involve themselves in any way in congress and do my best to keep corporations out of government"

How? I mean in a capitalistic and free market based system, money is still the means to gain power and so such corporations would still have the ability to manipulate the system.

“I would not allow any secret societies or secret groups to be involved in any level of the government”.

The problem with this is that it could very easily turn into a witch-hunt, I mean how do you find out how is supposed to be in these ‘secret societies’? What level of proof will be needed is due process to apply? Rat has accused many people of being part of ‘the conspiracy’ but he hasn’t ‘proof’ only innuendo, supposition and opinion, that was all that was needed for McCarthy? Are people to loose their jobs or freedom based on suspect information?

“in the end, if I did any of this I would be killed not too long after my inauguration...”

Are you saying that you’ve given up before you’ve even starting? That it’s just not worth it? Then what is the point?

    LOL

Actually, Rat you have run away from far to many threads for me to list on this page, not because the arguments were ‘petty’ but because they were important, you found you couldn’t defend your views and ran away, often calling me some name on the way out.

    **

“I am not out to convince those who are asleep of anything, and if they want to believe I am full of shit or don't have my facts together, that's fine with me. Those who have taken the time to do their own research know that what I say is largely correct.”

Then why can none of them defend your views?

Think about it, you can’t defend your views and they can’t defend your views, so why do you still believe those views are right?

I mean if you really thought those views were right why would you not try and defend them and if you thought they were right why couldn’t you defend them?

    **

“I have answered most of your questions to the best of my ability”

You keep saying this and I keep replying ‘where?’ please just tell us where? I can show where and when you have evaded questions or lied or run away, by simply pointing to just a few of the many threads in which you have done these things.

    **

“including how socialism is a tool of the rich and causes poverty, not prosperity. Just like collectivism produces oppression, not freedom. I have explained to you why this is, but every time you have ignored what I've said and just kept repeating the same questions over and over, saying I've never answered them”

Yes this is your opinion, but you have never actually been able to defend that opinion.

As I’ve told you before just saying something does not necessarily make it correct.

Just explaining a viewpoint doesn’t make that viewpoint right or even sensible.

Someone might have the opinion that everything in the universe orbits around the earth and go on to explain why they think like that, but that doesn’t make their viewpoint reasonable or rational.

Only in open and honest debate, can viewpoints be seen to stand up.

The problem is that you seem afraid of open and honest debate seeming to prefer methods that are directly there opposite.

Balbus I kinda feel like your REALLY nitpicking what I have to say and kind of trying ot make an argument out of nothing, of course it's hard to mainstain free speech in capitalism, because it's hard to maintain free speech in ANY system, theres always people who want to hijack WHATEVER system there is and make it benefit them and destroy the masses, that's why I don't spend time bickering over political systems and what the system should be like, I just want to EXPOSE the criminals who are inside our government right now, why do you wanna try and expose me and pressed rat? why are you trying to nitpick what we say when you know both of us mean 100% well and have no hidden agenda that you seem to think we do...why don't you spend more time dismantiling the government's arguments, remember 9/11 they lied to us about that and told us 19 arabs did it...remember Iraq? they told us Saddam had "nookular" weapons what a laugh that is now, ALL THEY DO IS LIE TO US, so let's just stop fighting with eachother because in the end we all have a common cause, were sick of the death and the war and were sick of this government perpetuating it.
