I dream of starting a commune, and I finally have my soulmate who wants to live a back to nature off the grid lifestyle, but I want to show him a commune in action! Anyone know of any way up north here?

I don't know of any off hand, though I am sure there are a couple.
The only functioning "communes" that I can think of off the top of my head are Hutterite Bretheren Colonies.

I have a rural home in southern AB, SE of Calgary.

Yes, I guess the hudderites could be classified as a commune. They dio live together as a community, and live off the land for a lot of the things that they require.
