http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/30/world/europe/30hofmann.html?ref=world I told a couple friends and they just asked "who is hofmann?" ...so i figured this would be the place people would know... I know i owe part of who I am to this guy so i wanted to let others that haven't heard kno...
a true visionary who will be missed. he changed the world and gave birth to a whole new generation and for that i give my thanks and admiration.
^agreed. as long as people keep popping acid, his name will live on forever.. that's practically immortality.
Albert Hofmann. The greatest man on earth. The father of lsd. We will always cherish him in our hearts and minds forever. Rest In Peace.
aww. hes dead. i didnt think the day would come. i thought maybe lsd keeps your mind going till your 120 or 150. mustve been hopfull dreaming.
brilliant mind and a great human...those who take LSD as Hoffman intended it to be taken will forever carry on his spirit RIP
his consciousness lives still and shall live always within the cosmic consciousness. much love to you uncle Albert!
Thats sad to hear. He did a whole lot for the psychedelic/counter culture. People like him will obviously never be forgotten. I'd like to think that people like him would want us to be happy that he finally moved on. So in a respectable way, let's be happy for the man that did so much for us.
Well, it is said, that last weekend, he invited all his friends to a harp concert at his house. And it is known, that he was a good friend to Rick Doblin, founder of MAPS and one of the world´s best specialists for MDMA- and LSD-assisted guidance through life´s final exit (rumour says, that Rick was also with Albert, when Albert´s wife died December 22nd 2007!). And Albert was member of "Dignitas", a swiss society fighting for the right of suicide when you get incurable ill. This doesn´t answer your question, but maybe you got a hint...
i don't know about you all but i felt a presence on my way to class today. i've been having mild but continuous visuals for days although i haven't eaten anything to cause it. i was listening to a song that causes me to experience such a broad range of emotions and i was immediately overcome with a sense of well-being that soon became overwhelming and i had to hold back my tear ducts. plus today is my birthday! i hope everyone else has had a similar experience today.

Good luck on your new journey, Dr. Hoffman. Marvelous things await you. On another note, this is the best example ever to prove that LSD has no bad long term effects.
