Just a thought ... why don't they make those things so they float???? It seems absurd to me that they won't be able to learn the cause of the Air France crash because the box sank to the bottom of the ocean.
if it floated away, then what?? Where would you begin to track a ping? having it clearly on the bottom makes it more possible to find. If it was floating and some curious shark ate it.. Well ??? Sharks will eat weird stuff occasionally and migrate * Local sharks - these sharks do not migrate, and range only about a hundred miles from their habitat. Examples include the bonnethead shark, and the nurse shark. * Coastal pelagic sharks - these sharks can migrate over 1,000 miles (1,600 km). Examples include the dusky shark, the blacktip sharks, the tiger shark, and the sandbar shark. * Highly pelagic sharks - these sharks migrate across oceans. Examples include the blue shark and the mako.
Put a little anchor in it that automatically drops. That way it will stay in one place. No problem ... you have a second black box full of shark food that you release at the same time. That way, the sharks will attack the box with the food and leave the real black box alone.
shark food.. how you gonna fit football players into little black box? :toetap05: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601079&sid=adjMNOKlgxCM&refer=home
Why don't they just make the entire thing out of what they make the black box? Then the plane couldn't be destroyed.
haha that would be pretty cool but really heavy.... what about if people trained the sharks to carry the black boxes on the planes. special flying sharks
