... is pretty damn sweet. I had three classes today, but I slept through all of them and woke up around 2 in the afternoon. After some Taco Bell and a long shower, I'm about to head out to the local hiking trail to smoke a bowl. Does it get any better?
rofl^^ yeah it probably would have een better if you didnt sleep through your classes lol I do that all the time tto
you may as well not go to college if you dont want to go to the classes. anyone can pass college, you may as well get a fuckin distinction level if you can
dude I never went to a single math class...still think I managed to pass. I am finding without a wife I wouldn't have the motivation to get out of bed and go to class..>I tend to think I only need to be there for test and exams..she disagrees....and usually wins(unless I get her stoned before asking to stay home..yup just like livingwith mom....)
exactly...it's not like highschool where u just blow off whatever u want and catch up in the end learning spotty information which u know isnt relevent college/university is to get you somewhere in life, it's YOUR choice to go there and try to make somthing of yourself, it's sad when ppl like u who probably get their parents to pay all the way through school just slack and dont even go to class while some poor ass kid who actually wants an education and to make somthing of himself will never get the chance.
See, I get stoned and go to class. But only if I can afford to have a good buzz in the class, like if I can still pay attention and not zone off too much, still comprehend the material, and what not. And sometimes, it goes hand in hand, since I'm a music major. We have a recital attendance course that everyone has to take, and tonight I got blazed and went to an orchestra concert, that was fun. It's fun being stoned and trying to figure out all the complexities in music, the theory behind it.
Yes, going to class high is great. It's funny though because I am a social work major so counseling people about drugs when I'm high is always weird. I always feel like shit when I sleep through a class or skip because I remember how much fucking money I'm paying to be there and all the glorious student loans I have to pay back.
Right on man, right on i can relate cuz i've always been that poor kid haha but its allright im getting my music together
Jesus Christ, it's not like I sleep through all of my classes. I just needed a lazy day where I didn't really do anything. And Digital DJ, I don't know where you get the idea that my parents are paying for my college education. I worked my ass off in high school saving money for college and I am going to need to take out some loans which I will have to pay back so you can go suck a fatty. I am very involved in my education as I do want to get somewhere in life. I just registered for next semester and am taking 17 credits, one less than the 18 credit maximum. I am not some lazy rich kid who is going to end up nowhere in life because I missed one day of classes. There, I'm done.
It's all good. I'm taking out loans for all four years, and every few weeks I'll just take a day off and smoke all day. I get good grades, and I do my work. Its great though when people assume youre a slacker cause of what you did on that one day, huh? Heres my assumption: you skip classes ALL the time, cause you took the time to make a thread about this one great day... wait, that makes no sense.
i recently graduated college. throughout the years, i only missed class a couple times as a result of drug behaviors (i.e. getting stoned, being hungover, etc). i missed class more often, however, due to being in bed with my girlfriend nonetheless, missing class was still a rarity for me. you have to set your priorities in college.... of course, missing ALL your classes because you'd rather get high is pretty damn immature and irresponsible. i certainly would never had made a habit of it. then again, not everyone attends the same quality schools. none of my friends in state universities go to class and they can easily make As. thus, it all depends on the level of academics/responsibility expected of you by your particular institution...
