Harvard will be among the schools participating in the walk outs. They are having a sit-in. It's nice to see the best and brightest stepping up.

Harvard is a prestigious university. Those who participate clearly see merit in furthering this cause, not eliminating it or skirting the issues.

 

I can promise you that the majority of students there see it as an opportunity to meet women or get a break from a schedule that let's them catch up somewhere else. The silent majority educating themselves vs. the vocal minority imagining they're changing the world. Not to many dummies there.

 

What do they want? What are they going to do? When are they going to do it? How are they going to get it done?

 

And where's the evidence of those many other laws working?

I think we need to stop blaming the other side and start talking to the other side. This county was founded on compromise not pointing fingers.
I'm a gun owner and yes I own several. I have a concealed carry permit, I'm a certified range safety officer, run a shooting sports club for teens (safety is always first) and my 16 yo daughter shoots competitively. Having said this I do believe that things need to change. My thought is we fix the system that is supposed to be in place now especially mental health issues. further more I for once agree with Trump that bump stocks need to go and the age should be raised. The 2nd amendment will not be removed in any of our life times if ever. So, I think we need to learn to talk again instead of pointing fingers at each other. Just my 2 cents!

 

How old should someone have to be before they are allowed to have a gun to defend themselves from criminals?

If someone is too young to be allowed to buy a gun, should they also be regarded as too young to serve in the military? As too young to vote?
