after high school i plan to go to college. but it would be at a low cost school so i can pay for it myself. but i dont know what i would go for after i complete my years there. i was thinking of doing something of working on a reserve protecting animals and keeping them safe, but i also want to do sometihng with the enviroment and develop alternative ways to conserve energy and making them cost-efficient. does anyone here do anything like that? or know how to go about doing that?

Study environmental science and then just work in your own field... sounds like the right thing for you to do.

i have a choice to take brandywine flows (a new science class that takes us to our local "river" the class focuses mainly on water and protecting it and learning whats in it. there field trips to it and even canoe going! but then there is an enviromental class but its all book work and not really hands on. im torn becuase the enviromental class seems more flexible and a little more helpful for when i get a job but the brandywine class seems more fun, and enjoyable.

you're a girl aren't ya...like obviously you don't go to college to go onto things...you go and find yourself a husband and have some kids
if you're lucky you can bag a nice rich one and live in one of those fancy communities surrounded by gates to keep out the blacks and hispanics
unfortunately the jews still get in.....

you mean to tell me, that even though you are a woman the urge to have children and cook and clean and take care of a house hold doesn't just make you wet?
you mean to tell me that you plan on going to college, and not looking for a husband???
    i'm so shocked right now

 I wanna go to Oxford.

It'll never happen, of course. I've managed to achieve a 0.500 GPA this year. The whole process was a hoot, of course xD

Perhaps I can bribe the professors at Oxford with sex and licorice...

In any case, thats a cool route to take, Veroness. There isnt anything remotely enviormentaly inclined at my school >.> Youre lucky to have a class that teaches that kind of stuff.

I hate to break it to you, but after high school you have to become a lifetime member of Hipforums and post full-time. It's your only option.

I don't want to come over all parently, but go to the best college you can. Good colleges open more doors for you than Podunk State does. It might cost more but it will pay you back quicker in the longer term.

Secondly don't do a degree that's too narrowly focused, it means that employers will have difficulty seeing you do anything else.

Oh and another thing. One student I knew spent almost 6 years getting a degree in General Studies (which professors and employers call an "Oh phooey, we've got to get you out of here" degree). So a little focus isn't bad.
