My name is Sarah and I'm so hopelessly broke it's painful! I'm thiinking of starting up a online store and selling some of the stuff I've made. I would like some advice on how you got started, any wisdom would help out!

Try posting on both ebay.com and etsy.com - although for made items, etsy.com seems to be the best route to go, from what I've read. Also, become more aware of all the craft shows in your area, because it's absolutely worth dishing out the $10 or $20 to rent a table to whore out your wares wherever possible, even if it means borrowing table-rental fees from mom & dad. If you do the craft show schtick and you also have an online store, it's always a good idea to go down to your local office supply store, buy some blank business cards, make your own, and hand them out at the craft show, because it may motivate a repeat customer to visit your e-store.

And the other bonus is, if you post your items here (or in the For Sale or Trade forum), once in a while you find a kynd fellow hippy that'll also be interested in picking up your items...

    good luck!
