Advice about painting my room

Ok, I really need to make my room a better place to trip when it's to cold to be outside. That being said I need some ideas about what color to paint the walls ceiling and door and any other general advice.

i did that one winter.. then when anyone came over they'd draw in one of the squares.

 

Yea, here are my ideas so far.

I want to do each wall a different color, for example do one wall dark blue with green streaks and the opposite red with yellow and purple streaks.
For the door I might do a colorfield painting.
I don't know what a faux finish is but ill look it up

 

Ohhh, faux is when its sort of cloudy using different shades of the same color?

Yea, I'll look into how to do that.
