But personally when I was wishing to trip like an addict there were serious things lacking in my life.

 

i was tripping(LSD, shrooms, cacti, 2-ce) a few times a week, a few months back, but now i haven't tripped in a month and don't really want to till new years eve.

i agree with grapefruity, there are some serious things lacking in my life right now, and i was confused.... i just want my my life and my weed back from the government, and i will continue to respect these chemicals.

You have never done a psychedelic in your entire life and it shows for obvious reasons. One taste and you would know why you cannot, under no circumstances, become addicted to a psychedelic.

Psychedelics have been successfully used to break people of ALL types of addictions because it is impossible to become addicted to a psychedelic. But. If you want to play stupid, then at least read a few books on the subject before you post dumbass comments like this.

You can start by reading Peter Strafford's eliquently written book 'Encyclopedic Guide To Psychedelics' before you go posting asinine crap like this again. You might also find Timothy Leary's 'The Psychedelic Experience' helpful in formulating more believeable lies. You LIAR!

While acid isn't addictive in the sense that coke or heroin can be addictive, you can EASILY be in a state where you want to do acid all the time. Why you presume that the OP would lie about his desire to do acid is beyond me.

When I first did acid, I wanted to do it whenever I got the chance, this was like once a week or so. I wouldn't say I was addicted, but I would never turn down the chance to do it. It excited me, it fascinated me, and if I said I was addicted to it, I wouldn't have been lying, just using a slightly inappropriate word.

 

Do it every day, you wont get off. You will think that you are

Get your head out of your ass and learn something before you go criticizing. READ, educate yourself... Once you have had a taste. you ain't never gonna get addicted. Even Syd Barret, who it is presumed did dozens (possibly 100's) of trips, never NEVER NEVER became addicted. Maybe you just need to update your vocabulary on the understanding of addiction.

If as you claim, you wanted to do acid again and again, YOU have an addictive personality. That is not the drug. Obviously you were too ignorant to consider the purpose for doing it in the first place. Were you even aware of your set & setting?

okay, i was just embellishing when i said i was addicted.. i know im not ACTUALLY addicted to it.. ya'll need to cool down, this wasn't supposed to be some "i know more about acid than u do" thing..

 

AKA is right, I love acid, but I find that after doing it you go through some time not wanting to do it again, about a week for me.

I was defending the OP, because you jumped on him and called him an outright liar, accused him of never even having touched the stuff and coming here simply to give us bullshit stories. I did my best to rationalize his post, and, as it turns out, I was right. He's not *literally* addicted, but has that feeling that you get when you just want to do something again and again - there's a big difference between "want" and "need". Once you NEED to do a drug, then it's an addiction.

Perhaps it is you who needs to do their research, he who believes that to take LSD is to experience enlightenment..

Any drug has the possibility for addiction, just some such as LSD have no possibility for physical addiction and the chance for psychological addiction is really slim, but it's there, as AKA could see in his own article on LSD he posted.

Though with the OP he probably just means he loves to do it constantly, and to him I say moderation is key with psycehdelics.

Newbies are going to read this shit. And as anyone here who has actually done a real psychedelic knows, all that propaganda-scare tactic shit is sooooooooo counter-productive and unfortunately can send someone into a tailspin. With a psychedelic it can become permanant.

This is also pointed at you, Thrifty, as you could have been honest and simply asked 'Can one become addicted to....' Instead of an outright LIE.
