Well, I'll be spending four fun filled days in Amsterdam starting Friday. And Saturday is my Birthday, isn't that cool. So if you see an old hippy with a log mustache in an Indiana Jones hat walking around with a really short girl, that'll be me. We'll take pictures, not in the RLD, and post a few. Apparently, Sinterklass and the Black Peters (sounds like a rock band) will arrive in town while we're there. Is that kind of a hoot?
Hehehe.. you're refering to 'Sinterklaas' (the 'original' Santa Claus) and his helpers (the saints slaves from back then, which were black... so now people paint up black.. they are the ones that have candy so kids love them.. hehe.. sometimes kids confuses normal black people for the painted ones and ask them for candy.. hehe.. only small kids in the more rural places though..) Annnyhow.. just picture SantaClaus without the Elves but with the 'Black Peters' (Zwarte Pieten).. and without Rudolf but with a white horse..
