ActiveX Control??

    I have a problem!It often happens that when i open a web-site appears a window with this words: ''Click here to do an ActiveX Control'',and whatever i do,the page i'm trying to see closes!What can i do not to make this ''ActiveX control'' appear anymore???

    Well if you do that you will lower your security too far - the problem with Intermittent Explorer - sorry I mean internet explorer is that its use of activex is a real security nightmare
    If you really do need explorer then all you do to get rid of that is click -
    tools
    internet options
    security tab
    then scroll down and turn off activex prompts

    BUT Your best bet and seriously is to go with firefox2 - then look in the addons section and get - customizegoogle - adblock plus - and noscript
    that will be a start - with IE you are gonna get bugged a lot - firefox is much better but if you need IE if I were you I would leave the activex checker alone unless you want a browser hijack which you will get - I estimate within 10 days

    I think Sentient is right..active X always gives trouble..
    one can enable or disable active x..
    depends on your browser...
    I could not update Windows while I was on Firefox once..
    some active x..stuff..blocked that..
