I want to get a decent acoustic guitar, something under 300$, but well made. Any suggestions? I know that Martin is a good brand for acoustics, but I don't know if the cheaper ones are as good as the high end ones. a

I have a Oscar Shmidt by washburn. It's a pretty cheap guitar (around $200) and it plays really well.

Depends on the model. I've liked a lot of the cheaper ones. I like older martins though. I love my '74 D-35.

i would suggest washburn aswell (i do not own one, though i have played them), washburn make good, affordable accoustic guitars that play well.
anyway, my suggestion would be a washburn dreadnought. i have seen them on sale for $250, and they are a very nice guitar. ;)
