ACLU has become too leftist. i don't think they represent the right enough. the right should have used the aclu to defend themselves for the ten commandments. they just bitch about the aclu and how it is a leftist organization, despite dick armey's membership there.

feminist majority: not too bad. women should have the right to work without being denied fair pay and discrimination.

One giant NAY. I say the fuck with the ACLU.

The ACLU doesn't give two shits about civil liberties, unless it has to do with gay and abortion rights, and other far-Left causes. You'll never see them defending the rights of gun owners.

The way I see it, the ACLU is nothing more than a helping hand in the socialist subversion of America.

NOW and the "Feminist Majority," also a giant NAY.

I say "nay" for the ACLU, because they wouldn't let me become a card-carrying member without paying them at least $5. :D

I remember them defending the Nazi's right to march in a predominantly Jewish Illinois town.

The ACLU is such a huge organization with such a varying caseload that it's hard to generalize them. In some instances I've wondered what their agenda is, in others they've been very helpful. Best bet is to just do some real research and decide for yourself. Can't tell you much about the other as I d/k anything about them.

Heres an article about the ACLU and Rush Limbaugh:

Sometimes civil liberties make strange bedfellows. It's more than a little ironic that the American Civil Liberties Union, the scourge of talk-show hosts from coast to coast, has rushed to the defense of Rush Limbaugh.

When investigators in Florida seized Mr. Limbaugh's medical records for its probe of whether the radio commentator illegally purchased thousands of prescription painkillers, the ACLU cried foul. Citing violations of the broadcaster's constitutional right to privacy, the ACLU came to the defense of one of its most vociferous critics.

The ACLU us the only org. I regularly contribute $$ to.
I LOVE their dedication to upholding The Constitution and Bill Of Rights.

Sure, the ACLU supports bullshit that will make them appear to be in "the middle," but frankly, I don't consider Rush Limbaugh "conservative." Nor do I the Nazis. I look at both as being master manipulators. It's all smoke and mirrors. The fact is, the ACLU does not uphold the Constitution, and as far as I am concerned, they pander far more to the globalist, one-world agenda than they do the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

If the ACLU was truly conservative, they would support gun and property rights. They don't.

No one claims they are consevative, but they don't only support gay and abortion rights and far left issues either.

Yeah? Is that why they supported the KKK and the American Nazi Party when they wanted to march in black and Jewish areas?

The ACLU supports the CONSTITUTION. Whether that is a "righty" or "lefty" group who is being denied their rights. If that is too "leftist" for you, I don't know what to tell you. The Constitution as a "Leftist" article. That's funny. I think Bush, Cheney and Rove probably agree, though.

Rush Limbaugh isn't conservative. All he does is spout the administration's chorus lines and push propaganda aimed at rallying people behind the Bush/neocon agenda. And George Bush is hardly a conservative. Being a fake Christian, in my opinion, does not make somebody a conservative. And just by looking at Bush's economics alone, it's clear to any person even remotely versed in politics and economics that his policies are anything but conservative.

People think that because Bush is a Texan with a fake accent, who is "Christian," he must be a conservative. But it works. It's easy to dupe the people when they're so uninformed and dumbed down by mainstream media indoctrination.
