The trees waved to me as I sat on the concrete front porch. The night air had a brisk coldness to it. I sat there contemplating on where I stand in life. I waved back to the trees. I tried acid for my first time two nights ago and wrote that while I was sitting outside. I tried it again today and I love the feeling that I have but I am thinking maybe this acid is really weak or acid just has no strong effects on me. I read a lot of stories and trips before I actually thought I was going to take the drug and from I had gathered from all the shit I had read I thought the experience would be completely different. I haven't found myself lying on the floor feeling like I was going to melt right into the very core of the earth. Instead things ripple and look wavy and I understand the potential of myself and the world which is pretty cool but not where I want to be. Any experienced thoughts?
every experience is different. you can't really pin down what your experience will be like because your trip may end up going a different way the next time. some things are common through all experiences, but the nature of the psychedelic experience varies from trip to trip. if this is your first time, then how are you sure that what you took is really lsd? well, hopefully you got some good strong clean stuff. alot of doses are way undercut these days. you can always increase dose. also, give it more time between your experiences. 1 trip a month seems to work well when you are starting out.
why do you think it wasn't real? one of the most common effects of taking acid for the first time is realizing it's not like you thought it would be what you (very briefly) described sounds like a low to medium dose of acid to me. maybe not though. did it have a strong taste or numbing sensation?
I actually took two hits of the same acid two nights ago and had an amazing trip. I guess I just expected it to be completely different from what I always thought it would be the first time I took it so I let myself down. If that makes sense.
