Acid Virgins

SO myself and "i can't stop smiling"[; aka-my good friend Laura; aka-mudder goose; aka-LFW; aka-virtue ... etc...etc so on and so forth...]

are loosing our acid virginity! on monday..
the plan so far is... i pick her up and we drive our friend to university (because me and him car-pool normally but since Mudder's coming home and because i'm dropping out after christmas anyway... i'm not going but he still needs a ride) and we're driving back to our friend's house and dropping the acid the minute we're there! hehe

SO i would like to know anything you experienced ppl would like to let us know before our first trip!

oh, and we both plan to take half a hit and see how we feel and if we don't feel anything when our two friends start to(they've done it before) we're taking the other half so one hit each at the most. we've been told that's the wise decision... i guess that since it's the general consensus, it's the best idea because ppl from here would know the potency of the acid from here better than outsiders i suppose

personally I would start out taking 2 hits. Half a hit will definitely be underwhelming

 

i would say 1 hit and plan on not driving for 16 hours? = )

 

0.5 hits is overly cautious, you will be fine just taking that 1. Then if you like it, take another

And yeah, plan to not do anything with machinery or authority for around 12 hours

yeah, i don't plan on driving at all for like 24 hours, because we're all sleeping there anyway.

but i guess acid here is stronger or people here are pussies or something because we've definitley decided to take one only, and one of my most experienced friends said to me "trust me on this if you trust me on anything(and i do) only take half and take the other half if you need it, because nobody ever listens when i tell them that and they always regret it"

AND my friend(the girl's house we're going to) took 2 her first time and regretted it because she was tripping more than she wanted to and didn't enjoy it. so she said to only take one.

so to be cautious (because i really trust the guy) i'll take the half and then half if i need it... it IS however quite possible that if the picture is cute i'll want the whole thing at once, haha i'm strange like that, i won't want to cut it in half. but i think me and laura will cut them both in half and share one then share another just to be gay about it because it's special haha!

kat's mom will probably be home around 8-9 and it's kind of cold out but we'll be going out for a walk to the meadow and maybe to the playground or somewhere , i think i'll like being outdoors, and we'll probably be a little used to the trip by then but i'm not going to convince myself of that because that could have reverse consequences haha.

Take one tab and then another later if you want it. Even the strongest tabs I've had i wouldn't consider worth taking just a half.
But in the end only do what your comfortable doing.

Don't take half of the hit, that's a waste. Even one it is not enough to really trip. Nowadays they put very small amounts on each hit so they can make more money. I like one-hit when I'm going to be social at a party or bar but if I want to really trip I'm gonna take anywhere from 2 to 5 hits. One hit is pretty much half of a dose anyways. You'll be lucky to feel anything with half a hit and you still won't have any idea of what LSD is like.

Plus, if you are afraid you shouldn't be tripping anyways. There is good reason to believe that a larger dose would be better for a person's first experience. Low doses can be more difficult and confusing for the inexperienced.

I recommend 2 to 3 hits for your first time. Being a safe place with people you trust.

 

half is a waste. if you are going to take acid to "trip" really and get the full visual and psychological effects you need at least 1-2 hits. most likely, the acid you are getting is no so strong that 1 whole hit will blow you away. and even if you are blown away you will be smiling so big your jaw will start to get sore.

 

sounds good. really if your friend has taken the particular doses before and he suggests to take 1/2 first, then he knows more than anyone here on these forums.

ive dosed on a 1/2 hit before and had a joyful trip. it's alot easier to control. esp. if it's strong acid, which from the sounds of your friend... it is.

it's pretty hard to go wrong with a half hit, just enjoy yourself

 

you kids shouldn't act like you know whats up, mass generalization on acid qualities, how is eating half a tab a waste?

 

i think because a lot of people on here, myself included, believe that 2 tabs is always better than one. half a tab is a waste because even if it was twice as strong as other acid going around your still not getting as good a trip as you could.

Effects will always be minimal on half a tab unless it somehow had the strength of two good tabs

 

you cant make generalizations like that though. i have only had weak acid once. there are a LOT of people who lay their sheets properly with a decent dose on each tab.

 

yeah, but for the first time when you have absolutely no idea a really heavy trip can be extremely overwhelming. even if you only get a body high from half a hit that will atleast give you a good feeling about acid, and then your second time you can dose 2 hits and have your real 'first trip'.

i had a weak trip my first time, and my second time i dosed off two VERY strong hits. nothing can even compare to that second trip, it was my 'first trip'. nothing can come close to that.

 

yeah i was gonna suggest you each just take one (no more than that), but then i read some posts that made good points- you never know, and it can't be a "waste" on your first time.

no need to jump into it for a full blown trip, you've got plenty of time for that. probably a good idea to listen to your friend, and always keep another 1/2 handy in case it's not enough (you can always re-dose).

as far as suggestions- all i can think of is to come up with some ideas before the trip (music choices, games, activities, etc.), whatever is fun for you two normally. the mistake i made was jumping into it without any idea whatsoever about what to do... that can leave you feeling sort of trapped. just try to have fun, try to treat it like a normal day and it should be great.

Even if the solution is highly potent, only a few hundred ug's will ever make their way to a typical blotter paper and end up in your mouth. Your friends would be extremley lucky if they are even getting 150ugs a hit, which is a very powerful dose for a first timer, and a very nice dose for even the most seasoned (so long as there is no tolerance of course, but the tolerance thing is debatable to an extent anyway).
So, most likely (but surely not guranteed, I dont know your friends), if your taking half a hit you are going to be consuming anywhere from 30 to 60ugs, and the threshold psychoactive dose is around 30 in most people. What this means is that you probably will only be just barely tickling your consciousness, and can expect a little bit of goofy laughter and confusion, some wavy walls and a general sense of well being. Dont expect to meet God or run naked out of your window and land in a cup of Orange Juice and never come back :cheers2:
My advise, 99% I say take 2. If you are super sensitive and easily disturbed by being forced to doubt what you believe is reality (you strike me as the opposite but you never know), then take 1. But taking 1/2 is at best a mild tease, which in most cases leaves people feeling very disappointed and regretting the descision while friends are writhing and jiving on the floor for 12 hours.

don't take half, do it right! just observe , do not fear the negative visions, and don't cling to the beautiful ones. if you know how to meditate and become an objective witness to your consciousness unfolding your trip will be much smoother. either way good vibes, and happy tripping!
