i read it, i loved it. irvine welsh is one of my favorite authors. i love all his work. trainspotting was such a good read, much better than the movie, as is often the case.
the acid house is a great read, particularly the end novella "a smart ****." i've read that story four times now. however, if you want to read great irvine welsh, try "Marabou Stork Nightmare's", and of course my favorite, as pocketfull mentioned, is "trainspotting". the movie does the book no justice (although the film is entertaining), as the most interesting aspects of the story are the dark, confused thoughts that are occuring inside the characters' heads, which is something you can't capture on film.
