I just watched this video of Joaquin Phoenix on Letterman. He is the guy from that johnny cash movie i think. Well, he looks really rough and i suspect he may be tripping. The way he was avoiding eye contact and trying to not talk as much as possible is reminiscent of how i feel when talking to any kind of authority figure on acid. He isnt on acid, he is playing you all for fools! The way he acted it was quite obvious this would make headlines, its free press for him to look more bad ass for his "hip-hop" cd.
yea, i just googled it a little (wound up at sites i hoped id never visit) and it does seem like a hoax now. I guess he is making a movie that is suspected to be a mockumentary a la spinal tap.
When I saw this interview, I couldn't understand what all the uproar was about. Sure he wasn't 100% there, and didn't play the part of a letterman guest, but he didn't seem that far out to me. I think if I saw it before I heard all the hoopla, I wouldn't have really thought twice about it.
