I'm having a panic attack because I accidentally injected a oral morphine solution. I stupidly banged it thinking it was for IV use and then read it's for oral use only! I started googling online and then people are saying it's horrible for you. Luckily it's not one loaded with sugars but the other ingredients are Methylparaben, Propylparaben and fast green no. 3. The first two are anti-microbial agents apparently but fast green is a food coloring! I'm freaking out and don't know what I should do. It was only 2 small doses that totaled 1cc. Obviously I won't be doing that again but I'm worried about long term affects. Should I see a doctor?
I've calmed down a bit. I've injected street dope and used other hard street drugs I'm sure is about equally as bad or worse. But this experience has made me realize just how dangerous it is to mainline anything so I plan to quit IVing altogether starting now. I just threw out a new bag of rigs i bought.
Really? It's awesome that you want to quit. Do you have pills to take orally to get you through? I mean are you addicted?
I meant quit IVing not drugs altogether. I was normally a weekend warrior type but my living circumstances lately. (Caring for a sick person 24/7) I started using once a day. Now that I can get back to having a life I'm hopeful I can get back to using infrequently.
If this is what it took to keep you away from the needle, then it's probably a good thing it happened. As for long-term damage, probably not. Your liver and kidneys took care of the food coloring. But you say you're caring for a sick person 24/7. Is that where you got this? Just curious.
dude your freaking out for no reason your FINE trust I use to know a kid who shoots crack and in order to do that you have to use vinegar to break it up honestly this dumbass has shot thousands of ccs of vinegar and he still looks healthy to me and has been doing it for year so I don't think a bit of food coloring would do anything. I wish I had some of that morphine your talking about I would definetly IV it. Just the other week which was the last time ive IV'd anything I shot a 15mg IR morphine(the little white ones) and it was an awesome high and now this dumb bitch that doesn't know anything about them but had a knee surgery is going to sell me 25 of them for 50 but she is just sooooo hard to deal with because shes probally never done a drug deal in her life and never wants to meet up ugh fuck my life.
I don't want to incriminate myself so you can make your own assumptions. Thanks for the reassurances. It really helped me out during what in retrospect was a panic attack. That vinegar story really cracked me up. Minor update if anyone cares. My IV abstinence didn't last long. I had an ear infection that lead to my eardrum exploding. They reluctantly gave me vics which didn't help at all. All I can say is having the pressure build up in your ear drum and then popping is one of the most painful experiences I've ever had. And it was aching for a week after so I got a bun and self medicated. First 7 days I honestly used twice a day just to feel normal and make the pain go away, but the last few bags I said fuckit and I might as well get some high since I paid so much for it. Later I used the vics to ween myself off opiates and prevent any dopesickness. haha. Down the slippery slope I go.
We all do dumb shit, i'm glad you made it. I have ived probably 10 times, well maybe 15 but I got sick (cotton fever or some sort of sepsis) twice, now im super careful when i do it, if i do at all. Just use it as a learning experience and do better next time.
I've had an eardrum rupture. With NO meds, at all. When I was like 11. What a wimpy excuse for injecting.... sounds like a great excuse to pop a pill, but not inject anything. Anyways.... you should be (mostly) fine after shooting the morphine. It's obviously a pretty bad idea, but people do shoot worse, and all you can do is hope you didn't do long term damage. If you shoot street drugs you ARE doing bad long-term damage, so, meh.... have fun.
I didn't have any meds either. It popped while I was waiting in the ER. The pain wasn't as bad after that. But the constant aching and ringing in my ear was driving me nuts.
