Absynth

I know I didn't even wait for someone else to start that thread

So, let's talk about absynth. I've never had absynth, anybody did? - I know some people here did, so please, tell me: what's it like? Is it like getting high off pot, or different? Is it true that it tastes like shit?

Is it legal in your country?

 

Actually I have never tasted it before, but I've got a bottle in my kitchen right now. 100 year ago all the artists and freaks and that times hippies and bohemians drank it at fancy cafés in Paris. Later it was illegal in France, I think, but it has never been illegal in Denmark and other north-european countries. But it's illegal to add the same amounts of 'malurt' (wormwood?) as they did earlier. 100 years ago, people were flying across the universe after four glasses...

But maybe the good old kinda absinth still exist, under/beside the legal market? I just haven't heard about such a market yet, but tell me if you know something about a danish market...

And no, it's not like all other types of booze IMO it doesn't taste bad, it actually doesn't taste at all it's just hot on the way down, hehe...

But yeah it is legal just not with the same conentration of wormwood, it's actally some really good stuff and the 85% just taste so much better than the 80% rum

What do you mean it's strong stuff... you mean the effects? Do I need a sitter?

 

if you do the real stuff and haven't tried it before, you'll flip over in an instant, but you'll have the best time flipping over you'll have in you entire life

And the regular stuff comes from 55% - 85% I think, that's what I've had anyways, and it hits hard but not nearly as hard, but still a bottle is a lot

So what are the effects like?

 

on regular absinthe you just get wasted, simple as that

but on the good stuff, you start halucinating and such, we were some guys and girls that shared some... Some of us thought we had no legs and just floted around, one was chased by a dog, some saw burning things, one got attacked by drain pipes and I and some others just had an all around good time on the high of a lifetime and watching crazy people running around

 

Sounds fun.. a bit like shrooms, huh?

Never tried shrooms, I know a guy that got 'evighedssyndrom' from it, I don't know how to translate it...

But he's sitting in a cell right now turning his cell phone 1 round with his left hand then the other way around with his right hand... all the time, because of bad shrooms so I'm not gonna try that anytime near

 

"Evighedssyndromet" means a permanent trip, that you can't stand off for the rest of your life. I know some people who've got it just because they smoked too many bong-heads...
In fact it's a psychotic mental state, that can't be removed by ordinary therapy...

I think that anyone a bit aprehensive and immature is gonna have a bad trip on psychedelics...
