Has anyone tested the absorption of LSD (bioavailability) with the same batch?i.e. letting a dose sit under your tongue (sublingual) vs swallowing it (oral).

    Not really, no

but that last time I ate cid was at a Furthur show, a couple of weeks ago. I'd had this cid before (good ass stuff, 1 hit was DAMN good). So at the show my boyfriend and I each took 2 at the same time, while working the lot :sunny:

Immediately after it was under my tongue, I got chills (people always say I make this up, but I don't) I usually feel a surge up my spine within the first 15 mins of a trip (not always, USUALLY/Most of the time)...though this doesn't indicate i've started tripping. Back to the point of the story, I accidentally swallowed the 2 hits very shortly after putting them in my mouth.

During the second song of the first set I was tripping, but the trip had not fully set in, so I turned to my boyfriend and asked him if he was tripping and oh he was! haha :D I would say my full on trip didn't start for another 20 minutes or so, but I tripped!!

This isn't scientific or anything. I think in order to do an accurate test, the same person needs to dose about a week, maybe 2 apart, on the same batch of acid and the same amount of acid- the variable being whether the cid is swallowed instantly or allowed to sit under the tongue for a good while.

For the most part though I suggest the sublingual ingestion.

The theory, when it sits in your mouth, it soaks through the pores and instead of the dose having to rise from your stomach to your brain, its pretty much already there. You would have to take in account as well, by the time you ate the lucy orally, if one were to put it only in there mouth and leave it there. It most likely would get absorbed faster. Who knows and who cares? I personally trip the same either way. :)

While this is true, I think LSD is absorbed so fast that there are subtle if any difference of onset between oral and sublingual ROA.

yes i usually just let it hang out in my mouth for a few minutes and then swallow it after. I couldn't imagine it makes a huge difference, but don't really know. Sometimes i don't even put it under my tounge i just suck on it from the top of my tounge.

I'm not so concerned with onset but rather the amount that you absorb. i.e. sublingual might be 90% whereas oral might only be 70% (I don't know the actual rates, I am just trying to make a point). I know it doesn't really matter because I'm still gonna trip but I would rather get the maximum amount if I can. I might have to test this with the next batch I get.

dam, im so jealous! I always thought that you only take it under the tongue or eye. I've put a hit in each eye and the tongue. Called it the trinity.lol I saw the devil that night!

With no tolerance, off of the same sheet, I've never noticed a difference in absorption potency between the 3 oral methods I usually use. The methods being, under the tongue till its mush then swallow, under the tongue till its mush then spit out, and simply swallow.

Set and setting are controlling intensity much more than under the tongue vs in the stomach in my experience.

i'll put money on it that this IS TRUE and is your brain releasing dopamine into the synaptic gap in anticpation of the feelings to come. i'm betting an instant mood lift also comes from putting the paper to your tounge.. also attributted to the dopa..:sunny:

well im not an expert at all but i can tell you that if lysergic acid diethylamide is dissolved into water it is transformed into a hydrated form which is not active. i'm not sure if this conversion is instantanious but it does occur.. so this knowledge in combination with the fact that our stomachs contain aqueous hydrochloric acid has me to believe that some LSD MAY be converted into this inactive hydrated version on entering the stomach. although who is to say that the cardboard will make it that far without the cid being absorbed by the walls of our throats??

What the fuck. Why your eye?! I mean I'm sure it has great absorption, but why not just eat the damn acid?

Lots of us dropped that way. May have heard that you get off faster or waist less? I dont know? This one girl i knew would save the hit and use it again after a month, she'd have another trip. It burns for a minute then just feels funny under the eye lid.
