They shine the one side of the ball and try to make the other side rough. When the ball is bowled it will swing in the air making it difficult for the batsmen. The rougher the one side is the more it will swing and that is why he used sandpaper.

Talk about an understatement Anyway, it wasn't an 'error of judgement' it was deliberate premeditated cheating. He went out on the pitch with the deliberate purpose of breaking the laws of cricket solely for his own team's advantage.

 

Absolutely! Apparently, according to latest news, only 3 people were involved. I doubt that very much! I suppose that 3 people falling on their swords is better than the whole team being discredited! Too late chaps!
