absinthe

    is there any where to buy absinthe in the us(with wormwood or a substitute that contains thujone) and what is different from it and normal alcohol?

    If it doesn't contain wormwood, it isn't absinthe. Absinthe is normal alcohol. Absinthe is illegal to manufacture and sell in the US. I suggest you read the other 300 threads started about it, not too far below this one.

    You can't buy it in the USA. It contains thujone which is GABA receptor antagonist, and it cancels out some of the action of alcohol. So don't try and do it home made style, it most likely won't work unless the ratio of thujone to ethanol is perfect (when they equally cancel each other out).

    Absinthe feels like being drunk but you are more clear headed (since thujone cancels out some of what alcohol does). It seems like the whole hallucinatory aspect is a myth.
