wow, those people are really starting to piss me off. their whole slogan is just talking about being "above the influence". above what influence? they tell you to make your own choice, but that the choice to smoke weed is wrong. so by listening to them and not smoking weed, are you a self thinking person, or just an idiot who thinks your "above the influence?" its like school, and their "be an individual but take our standerdized tests" crap. god i hate the government...
Hahaha It's time to start making your own choices. (comercial) (Don't smoke weed, Please Please listen to me!) Because your growing up now. So think for yourself. (comercial) (exept listen to me)
Get used to it. "Wake up, don't follow the sheeple, vote for ___." "Be yourself with Smellgood Cologne." "Don't follow the crowd, buy at the Farmer's Market." "Ignore that lecture, its OK to smoke pot." "Be unique by doing what I suggest" is a common form of argument.
I think as far as anti-drug commercials go, the above the influence ones are okay. Now if we only had REAL commercials that ACTUALLY advocated for people to be themselves, that would be awesome. Isn't that what the foundation for a better life or something is, with its commercials that are just there to remind people to be nice? I don't know... the world needs more real stuff, not fake stuff telling them what to do. ~Nova
Nova, Personal interactions are far more effective than TV ads. Giving congradulations when deserved, disagreement when merited and treating everyone (especially the weirdos) with respect is the best way you can spread individuality. I doubt a broad based appeal to the masses would result in much individuality.
