they're finished!!! its taken since feb (i think :s) and i backcombed them from braids, undoing each braid and making them into one or 2 dreads per braid. its been a looooong haul so far just to get them to the baby dread stage but well worth it! a few lessons learnt along the way..... dont use bands (i found a couple and a stray braid or 2 with the help of these pics) bands melted into mushy ick, i'm soooooooo glad i only used a few! if you live with hard h2o, put vinegar in your rinsing water if you dont want the itchies and scum build up... yummy! if you get headlice, use delacet. gets rid of the buggers AND knots hair up a treat visit friendly neices who give you the most fab beads for their aunties locks (aaaawwwww blesssssss!!) mine gave me the wooden beads, the funky one with the note on it and the super cute plastic teddy bear! i wear them with much love and pride and a silly grin when i touch them! anyhoo piccie piccies piccies! my babies from the back, hooooogely improved from when i started out! long loose ends, but i like them! from the side whilst winking to avoid the flash (or at you handsome lads should you prefer ;p)
trussed up in pigtails for work! and in their bedtime jammies, a pink woolie wrap i knitted myself and a sly shot of glastonbury from the tor i took last week, twas a fab sunset and a fab evening!
Aww so pretty, awesome dreads and who doesnt love nieces with beads! I wish I had some *insert jealousy here*. Beautiful landscape!
aw thankies guys! s'funny... i have never seen a single photo of me that i liked, till i got dreads! wandering blues, yep theres lots of the little buggers, i got to around 50 ish and gave up counting lol! and yes adrien, you caught me i was winking at you, even though i am more than twice your age (only just though! hahaha!)
Luv when i see all these beautiful women with dreads... cause since i started growing mine now i have an excuse to come talk to you on the street LOL ... your dreads look great!
