Did anybody have the chance to meet Abbie Hoffman? I've been reading alot of his books lately, and was curious as to what he was like in person. Peace
I saw him briefly when he spoke at my university. I think he and Jerry Rubin gave the anti-war movement a bad image. They made it easy for a lot of Americans to think of anti-war demonstrators as dirty, promiscuous, foul mouthed flag burners.
I'm sorry but the last person I would like to meet is Abbie Hoffman or his pal Rubin. They were the yippies they were the insigator. Instead of peace they preached hate and violance. Just look at what they did in chicago. Abbie Hoffman was not hippy ( imho ) He gave hippies a bad name. Peace
