"What?..... I'm not underestanding your point."

I'm saying that its quite possible that some parts of the bible were written by would-be orthodox Christians, focusing on the actual person of Jesus (rather than his teachings), and some parts written by those who believed in the symbolism and philosphy behind Jesus' words.

Extinction is a fact of life. Even today this is happening. If it were not for Teddy Rosevelt we would not even have a buffalo in this country. Where there were millions that use to roamed the plains, there slaughter by the white man was so great, that there was finally only 50 or so left. Extinction happens because of a number of reasons, and it will only get worse in the future.

Do you also believe God created all of the viruses and bacterias to intentionally kill off humans?

So you don't believe this rock was as old as claimed, but all the other lumps of coal and rocks and mineshafts that remains and relics have been found in are as old as claimed to be?

And if the world is as young as indicated by the bible (what, like 6000 years?), then how could men have lived longer than 6000 (or 100 million for that matter) years ago in the first place?

No, this is a problem for those who believe in evolution. My point is that we are in a young earth and those who talk about millions of years are mistaken, especially when you find human remains in coal, you have got to understand that if you believe as those in the evolution camp that these human remains would be over 100 millions years old. Far older than what they have been telling us all along. Their honest preception of the evidence would suggest that man did not evolove 3 million years ago, but existed hear fully human 100 million years ago. Based on what they believe the age of coal to be.

Mungo man, in excavato.
Pic: Colin Groves, Alan Thorne, Wilfred Shawcross

a man who died roughly 60,000 years ago, by the shores of once-verdant Lake Mungo in south-eastern NSW.

In a technical tour de force, a team led by Thorne has extracted and analysed parts of a single gene from Mungo Man. More stunning still, the researchers claim that what they discovered is that the man’s DNA is unlike anything they have ever seen. While Mungo Man was undoubtedly fully modern anatomically, he came from a genetic lineage that is now extinct.

http://www.ket.org/Trips/Coal/AGSMM/agsmmhow.html

In the last paragraph:

"Coal formation is a continuing process (some of our newest coal is a mere 1 million years old)."

And about that post above me - if you go to the site and look at the picture of the cast of mungo man's skull, the bone above his eye sockets jut out and his forehead is slanted back (as opposed to the flat, vertical forehead of a "fully modern human". His skull looks more like a cross between a "modern human" and an erectus than a "fully modern human" as they have labeled him. I dont' know what that implies, if anything, but I find it strange that they call him a "modern human."

Isnt the fact that the earth is older than 6000 years easily proveable?

That nothing that nobody really knows is the basis of christianity.
More to the point, scientists are open to accept newly available evidence which is something that christianity refuses to do ~ for very obvious reasons, as it turns out.
Know the truth and thr truth will set you free (of lies and deception)......

Yes they claim that some coal my be 1 million years old but you see the bones they have discovered is not in what you might describe as young coal, but the coal was stated to be one hundred million years old, and if that were not enought they are also finding man made objects in coal, such as gold chains. Iron nails were found in quartz. They found a brass bell with an iron clapper in coal which was also was supposed to be one hundred million years old. The list of these items are numerous but because it does not agree with the Evolution Theory, they, the believers in Evolution, want nothing to do with this kind of evidence.

You have it in your head that science has some sort of grudge against Religion.
