I have been looking at the Stephen Barrett's Quackwatch website. He has a long list of individuals he calls quacks. I find it remarkable that he did not include the two biggest health research fraudsters of the 20th century: Ancel Keys and Dr William McBride.

Ancel Keys is probably the biggest medical fraud of all-time, and has contributed to the death of countless millions of people, as well as the suffering and ill-health of many more -- all based on erroneous, cherry-picked data that placed the emphasis on meat being the leading cause of obesity and heart disease, while ignoring the real cause, which is sugar and refined carbohydrates.

Maybe he did not include Dr William McBride as he blew the whistle on thalidomide medication and this puts big pharma in a bad light. The tribunal hearing on Dr William McBride where he was struck off the medical register. He was eventually reinstated.

There is nothing wrong with Stephen Barrrett's knowledge apart from being half a century out of date.
