I have an idea.... I plan on making bracelets with like glass beads and silver dog and cat charms and when I'm at craft shows I want to sell them for like 5$ and 100% of the money will go to the A.S.P.C.A. ( The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) I'm a huge animal rights activist and I want to do something, I also plan to put out a jar so people can just donate even if it's just change, and then make fliers explaining the cause and what their money will be going towards and the address so if they feel weird giving me money they can donate directly to the charity. I want to do this sooooo bad do you think people will want to help? I thought it was a good idea what do you think? please please please take my idea and do this this in your area too. they need all the help they can get. much love always, Hollie*
I work at a natural foods store and part of our store is dedicated to natural pet foods and supplies. We have a jar on our counter top for people to donate. A lady comes around every month and collects it. People come in to buy quality food for their pets, and I think that the jar being by the cash register catches their eyes and they feel like "hey, I'm able to come in here and throw down $40 for a big bag of natural food, and there are many less fortunate animals out there...so I should put some money in...even if it is just $1 it is helping in some small way". I think your bracelets and donation jar are great ideas I hope they do well
thank you, I'm scared that people are going to think I'm ripping them off. I would never do such a thing but people are nervous about just giving someone money, do you know a way to make people feel secure that their money is going directly to the A.S.P.C.A?
hmmm...not really. I think most things are like that though. Even in stores...I mean, the can says its for this or that...but in all reality, the store could just be putting it out to make up for a lack of tips * haha j/k* I think the people who donate will do so on faith, and with the understanding that there would be serious karma repercussions for you if you were just keeping the money. Im sure you'll do great.
