Man, I would tell myself to travel more, be kinder to others, don't worry about what others think, and the 80's man, don't waste your time and money trying to keep up with the Joneses, it just wasn't worth it. Be free...... Carly
Take care of you BODY it's the only one you have. Believe in yourself. Don't follow leaders. Be true to yourself. Knowledge is the Key to Freedom.
Be True to your Self And if you do not know your Self - find it ! Learn to be Still Remember it's all about Growing
No, it's a line from the 1967 movie "The Graduate". I was 19 when it came out and there was a famous scene when the main character was given some advice about future. Actually, I fully agree with Shameless and Oldwolf. Peace, poor_old_dad
Uhm ... no advice, as I was too stubborn to take any. I would tell her she is just doing fine. "Listen to your heart" And I would add ... ah there is one who so longs to walk with you all the rest of your life (well at least 35 years) ... and this is you yourself ... (and I promise it will be a strange and wondrous trip). I wonder which of my own advice I would take today - given from a time 35 years from now - which would be around 88. How would it sound like ? "lihihisten to y-our *clearing throat* hea-eart ba-aby *spitting* hehe I kne-ew you wou-ould tttake it" *Aum*
Knowing that at 18 I thought myself to be too damned smart to listen to any advice, I'd just give myself a good sound beating.
Also, I would tell myself to get a grip on the temper. I ruined what would become a $3000 dollar guitar. Maybe MORE today!
Stay out of debt. Debt is a shackle on your freedom. Start a savings account. Imagine the compound interest an 18 year old could realize. Wear sunscreen.
I'm not a hippie but i think they're super groovy. The older ones mainly cuz I know too many young wannabe hippies.
Ahhhh words of wisom, great advice! If I could turn back the hands of time these two would be at the top of my list!
