If The big bang created the universe, Who created the big bang?

If The matter that 'banged' was just floating around nothingness and was slowley being collected, Where did that matter come from?

Newton said that 'Every action has an equal and opposite reaction'. Therefore there must have been some form of energy applied to the big ball of matter that was in equilibrium for it to explode. What made it explode?

If this matter was just floating around - there must have been some force applied to it to push it in a certain direction. What force was that?

The matter that was collecting onto the big ball of matter - what made that matter float around?

The Big Bang Theory seems like a farce. Science has let us down on this one.

time didnt exist till the big bang. so there is no before the bang. maybe time is circular and when the end of the universe comes itll collapse back into itself and then bang again.

Yeah but then that theory works on the premise that some form of universe existed in the first place for it to implode and start a continuous circle.

So where did that first initial universe come from?

since matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed, ony transformed, time is energy that once was something else and matter was an energy and maybe all this matter and energy once existed in a different dimension.

Supposing that the Big Bang is indeed true, even though it sounds completely idiotic...

You cannot possibly use earth based laws to explain space phenomenons. We know next to nothing about our galaxy, and we know nothing about the universe. There is no logical human explanation to this.

The so called scientific "laws" are all concepts created by the flawed minds of people within the limitations of this planet.

No law is true as it is... since a million hypothesis cannot be tested. All laws are only generated based on hypothesis that CAN be tested... this completely disproves the efficiency of the scientific method. It's an extremely flawed and self contradicting process.

There is a theory that says the Big Bang came from the membrane of another, parallel universe forcefully colliding with our own. So far it's the only idea that comes close to making any sense to me, even though it blows my mind with the bigness of it all.

    Meet M theory...

We know the universe is expanding. Red Shift. We know that the the red shift would be observed from anywhere else in the galaxy, (Copernicus.) The most logical conclusion is that it took an incredible exertion of energy for the mass of the universe to escape from a singularity.

The big bang is logic based on observations. It makes no argument based on hypothetical why's to the universe. Saying 'where did the big bang come from?' is making the assumption that the singularity or things similar haven't always been. Why is matter less logical to exist then nothingness? It's vauge speculation, but again, the big is a matter of how, not why.

If you want why, there are many religions pitching out answers. Maybe one of them is right.

The materials of the "universe" always existed in SOME form or other.

No, there is no god. Sorry.

So your argument centers around the idea of.. who created the shit that made the big bang?

Flip that around. Who created the being/shit that created the big bang?

the big bang is a terrible theory, no better and no worse than the "god made it" theory. as far as i'm concerned, nobody has figured out how the place came to be, since no matter what theory you use something had to spontaniously come from nothing, and no one has figured out how that could occur yet

The universe has been expanding for the last 14 billion years from one single point in time/space – science hasn’t let us down, it’s your inability to grasp this simple concept which has let you down [IMG]

you know what's a real laugh, is that even the christian bible itself mentions about 24,000 if you count up all the begats (18 of em, times more or less a thousand years each of them are accounted) in the book of numerology, and then add in the 3 or four it actually tells you anything about in any detail.

just goes to show how ignorant most people are of even what they claim to believe in themselves.

any rate, i've never met a chunk of rock had half the reason to lie to me humans always seem to come up with.

an athiest is someone who has figgured out there doesn't have to be a god for there to be a religeon. an agnostic is someone who'se figgured out the other half of it too. that there doesn't have to be a religeon for there to be a god, nor for that matter, for one to have created anything in order to exist.

and anyway, a big bang comes closer to what beliefs tell us, about the idea of there having had to have been a begginning, that there doesn't.

all this horsepuckie pretending to be about universes and origens is just a trojan horse excuse for someone to dump the same old fanatical crap we've all heard a zillion times before if we've heard it once.

no one knows a dam thing about what god or gods there may or may not be. and not one damd one of us is the least bit better off lying to ourselves pretending to.
