i know you can make a psilocybin extraction from mushrooms using alcohol...
and i know a lot of people make tea with their used cakes once they're all flushed out, because there's a lot of psilocybin left over. so i was wondering, is there any reason why you couldn't make do an alcohol extraction on used substrate? if not, would it work to just do an extraction on the tea?

sorry if this is stupid :)

actually, water makes for a much better solvent for psilocybin/psilocin than alcohol will. i actually tried making a psychedelic liqueur once with vodka, mushrooms, strawberries, and sugar. didnt do squat except get me tipsy. would have been better without the mushrooms! from what i was led to understand by more chemically savvy users than i, after posting about my botched experiment, the magic elements in the mushrooms are actually not very soluble in alcohol.

    who'd have guessed?
