My guitarist woke up today witha fever and a sore throat and we have a gig tonight. This morning he took some Benylin cough syrup and Tylenol cold and sinus. That was at around 8;00 am I would say. However, he's extremely tired and is afraid he'll have no energy for the sow tonight. My question is: Does anyone know if it would be dangerous to take half a speed tablet after having consumed over-the-counters? It would give him the jolt he needs to perform, but at the same time, I don't want him to run into trouble. The sooner I know the better; the gig's 6 hours away.
he should sleep some before the show, maybe take less than half of the tablet cause it could be dangerious but a little should be fine.
He's sleeping right now. So a third you think? Won't be dangerous if he had cold medicine? I'll tell him to eat before he takes it too, because it totally destroys the appetite. Thank you btw.
if he's not used to speed he may be too jittery to be able to perform, especially if he's the guitarist. I'm not used to speed but when i was on coke i couldn't play my guitar properly you get all jittery and your fingers don't work right. he may be too fidgety to play. i'm sure you can get him up and out of bed to perform, just get him a strong cup of coffee and once he's onstage he'll be amp'd to play.
True as well. He's only taken it twice, but he's an overall very chilled out guy... not a worrier. We'll discuss it when he wakes up.
Well, he ended up taking about a third and he felt a lot better. The show went well! He had tons of energy!
