Animal rights crowd (and just to be clear, I like most people believe in animal welfare, not rights, at least yet). With honey bees and sugar water feeding. You think it's cruel? Are you sure the bees don't prefer it? Humans like processed sugar better than natural. Maybe the bees like it even more. Just saying.

You can just leave a bright coloured sponge thats damp near the flowers they are visiting wen its hot so they have acces to some water. They dont really need our human proccesed sugar and its not natural to them anyway. Our proccesed sugar dont really have any worthwile nutrients ( even for us). So the bees dont get the same nutrients from our proccesed sugar and eating it can leave them full but with not the right nutrients causing them to do things like start eating their own eggs to make up the lack of protein supplies. Its better if a disstressed or tierd looking bee is placed on one of the flowers from a plant that most bees seem to visit in the gardens so they can try to get to some plant necter wich has all the nutrients they need. Im no expert but that was wat some people who have worked with bees many years always told me.

Im more facinated with the way they manage to fly and the mechinisim they use, along with their ability to use quit powerful low frequency pulses wen needed. They are quite a facinating creature

I don't know how bees should be fed, but don't be cruel to bees. Be nice to bees.

In particular, people on the internet should stop being cruel to new bees.
