What the hell are those flies that only live a day or something then pop or whatever lol A friend and I were talking about them but couldn't think of the name and it's really bugging me now
They are called Shad flies. There are millions of them and they die falling on the sidewalks and makes for crunchy walking.
No worries man the ice is still on the lake. The shads don't usually come out till the middle to end of May or depending on the weather mabey a little later; somewhere right around when the Pickeral spawn.
