I need a new band. I listen to all sorts, and I will say this much I hate emo and cheesy crap. They have to be quite unique, this generic stuff isn't my cup of tea. Thank you Tib.
I have old bands that may be new to you. Check out: The living end- roll on album in particular black rebel motorcycle club- howl album in particular tiger army ( some stuff sounds good afi ish)
I have listened to The Living End, they remind me of Green Day And i've got a few BRMC albums they are good. I am a massive Tiger Army fan already, seen them like four times stoked someone else likes them. I love loads of psychobilly music, listened to Tiger Army first around the early millennium when only the self titled was out. Been a huge AFI fan for a LONG time (when they were good) and Tiger Army were constantly recommended. Will listen to The Living End again though, like me some punk music. And I have never heard of Wardruna so will be looking into them. Thanks
Sin Fang Bous is great, it's all one Icelandic guy. Or if you prefer acoustic more than electronic sounds, he's also in a great band Seabear. Since we're on the subject of Icelandic bands, múm is a personal favorite. If you like the electronic stuff, Dan Deacon is really good, get the Bromst album. A lotta fun to listen to. For some new folk/bluegrass, Trampled by Turtles is very talented, I just found out about them last week, their song Wait So Long is worth a listen. The Avett Brothers are also a nice folky band. Oh, and Yeasayer. Very interesting and intricate. I really enjoy them. I prefer this version better than the one on the actual album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5eR8oW9F-f0"]YouTube- Yeasayer - Wait for the Summer Hope you enjoy!
Area Code 615 was the name of a Nashville country rock band active in the late 1960s and early 1970s, taking their name from the telephone area code, which at the time covered all of Central and Eastern Tennessee. The band was made up of session musicians, recording only two albums before resuming normal session work. Several of the members were backing musicians for Bob Dylan's Blonde on Blonde and Nashville Skyline albums and on recordings by Billy Swan. Their best known work was "Stone Fox Chase", which was used as the theme to the British Broadcasting Corporation's music programme The Old Grey Whistle Test. Mac Gayden is well known as a session guitarist and is renowned for his innovative wah-wah slide guitar technique, as showcased on the early 1970s J.J. Cale hit "Crazy Mama". He is also successful pop songwriter who co-wrote (with Buzz Cason) the perennial hit "Everlasting Love" as well a number of successful bubblegum pop songs including "Hayride", which was a major Australian hit for Flying Circus. Moss, Gayden, and Buttrey went on to play with Nashville-based Barefoot Jerry, which continues to perform occasionally today. David Briggs later worked with Elvis Presley and Joan Baez. Their cover of Classical Gas, from the 1970 "Trip in the Country" album is sampled and featured in the Latest (Jan 2010) Irish & UK Guinness TV Commercials.

I think you would like: Landau - the Epic compromise. it has lots of organic, lush, stringed, and electronic instruments all weaved together in a very light and warm sound. very easy to listen to and extremely original. too bad they broke up ~ 6 years ago : ( Davide Swarup - Music For Hang (youtube - davide swarup..amazing!). hailing from amsterdam, born in italy, davide swarup is a hang drum extraordinare. World music/percussion at its finest, and a truly unique instrument that costs thousands and takes years to obtain. Really cool album too, that is good for sleeping or other light/meditative moments. something a little heavier? try the album - problem solving, by a guy named Kilowatts. lots of different influences in this album, and its a good one from start to finish. One of my all time favorites Zilla - All Iz. Zilla's album, All iz, is truly a gem. if you want original, this is it here. the trio is instrumented by a drummer, synth/keys/bass player, and a dulcimer player. the dulcimer is what really sets this group apart, as this is a very cool sound here. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to check out Zilla, they are just simply...unique. universal. anyone can enjoy it from any part of the world. talented. very talented. the most interesting group i have ever come across in my entire life. You can immediately tell when someone puts on a zilla track, because they just dont sound like anything anybody else is doing. Circle Crop Vol 1 is a good one, Egg is a good one, and you can get some more of their tunes at zillamusik.com. dont be a fool, and miss out on this...
