Hello, I am new here. I was looking on google for some indie music forums to join, and this was one of the first results!

Anyway, to contribute... does anyone like this band? I was just recently introduced to them. Kind of like a less intense Modest Mouse maybe... pretty lo-fi recording quality.

Edit - I just thought, for those who haven't heard them, they have some songs on the website (www.ajoviannight.com).

If you like those two, then you should also check out "Wolf Parade" and "Clap Your Hands Say Yeah."

Will do. I'm looking for any music along the lines of Modest Mouse/A Jovian Night/Bright Eyes/Death Cab/Elliot Smith/Ben Folds even. All recommendations will be listened to by me.

    Oh, you like lyrical people?

    Hmm, definitely check out

    Bonnie Prince Billie
    Okkervil River
    Cat Power
Cursive (Only the Ugly Organ album though)
    Simon Joyner
    Winter Pills
    Pedro The Lion
    Decemberists
    Desaparecidos (Connor Obersts side project)
    Jeff Buckly
    Two Gallants
An Angle (This one might shock Bright Eyes fan)
    Lovers
    Songs: Ohia
    Espers

Haha, sorry to over-load you. Those are the best lo-fi singer/songwriter's I can think of right now
