I'm pretty new to the whole pagan thing. I got exposed to it a few years ago at this summer camp I was working at (Boy scout camp actually). Just about everyone in my area was a pagan in this coven. They did this cerimony to bring me into it after a couple of weeks with them. They told me a lot of stuff about paganism in general. I was looking for a little clarification and some more details on some things. One thingI was told is that i was a fire elemental. What does that really mean? I also was told that my aura was a greenish grey colour most of the time and would do this thing where t flicks out this tounge like protrusion and touched (or licked) other people's aura. Have any of you heard anything about this before? If so what does it mean? Any help would be appretiated.
That isn't paganism. I know some New Age practitioners play around with that, in fact I have a good friend who does. However I've never seen anything substantial. In other words, someone sees your aura, whatever that means, and tells you that you are a fire elemental. To me that doesn't accomplish anything more than something to talk about endlessly. To me paganism is about results. If something doesn't work, and I mean that physically and or spiritually, then why do it? For what it's worth, in traditional astrology - and this is slightly different in modern, it was part of a reading to determine the person's element, which translated to the four humors. You determined that by various things on the birth chart. According to that I am earth which is the melancholic humor. That means that I am dependable and loyal, creative, but I can tend to get depressed because of other's actions. Fire is called choleric , and it means you are a leader, but can tend to be tempermental and lose patience with people. You will tend to get diseases dealing with the blood and kidneys. Then again, this doesn't mean anything for auras since that really isn't an ancient practice.
