_In another thread I just saw an amazing stencil purse & I wanted to share one of my 'abilities'. I can turn any picture you send me into a stencil -free of charge-, all you have to do is print & cut. Here is a sample of what I did. Original _Bjork. © David Lachapelle 2001 Stencil _Bjork Stencil. © _androidette 2005 I have canvas purses w/the stencils & jeans. All I do is print onto resistant paper & remove the black parts w/an exacto knife. Place stencil on area & paint. NOTE: Non-'boxed' pictures tend to be better.
my printer is down but can you make this a stencil for me to print out when i get it hooked back up?? this one may be tooo blurry I will look for a bette rone if you cant do this one!!
_Here it is, I made it the same size as the original picture. Keep requesting, I have a ton of free time on my hands.
Androidette,it's so nice of you to do this for everyone. I have a good friend that's in a band,I've been trying to make him a cool tshirt. I'll have to look through the band's pics and find a good one...and then I'll get back to you
_Thanks Wonder Girl, I love putting what I can do out there, available for others. I will do your picture as soon as you have it.
I feel so cheeky, but could you make these into stencils for me? Don't worry, take as much time as you like... I'm so sorry!!! (But you do such great stencils *ahem*)
Yea stencils are great fun to make. They are easy to do in illustrator because you get your own artistic licence with it./ It ANNOYS the HELL out of me when "artists" just go into photoshop and click "posterise" or "threshold" and just paint what they get... cos thats so sooo simple and it puts down the work of anyone who DOES put time and effort into it.
i use photoshop when i do shit like that... but i convert to black and white and use htreshold and the levels on it.... sorry if i take the easy way out, but hey, do what you gotta do peace & love
_I agree! People think Photoshop is the answer for everything. I went to school for 4 years to make decent visual communication pieces & learned all of the others programs for visuals. /end rant.
_The "problem" with Photoshop is that it doesn't create a vector of the photo [a vector can be re-sized without loosing any quality], with Illustrator you "draw" the entire image & voila, vectors!
_Rover-Lass I assumed, you didn't want it to be small. So here is the first one -I am going to wait till you get back on the sizes of the faces- ^ If it's too big, I can resize it.
That's perfect!!! You're a star! I honestly don't mind what size they are... I've given you enough work as it is!!
_Aww, a star? The people in this forum put me to shame with all their goodness. I will have your faces ready in a little while, about the same size as the logo, right? Oh! & you are doing me a favor, I have to keep my mind busy & not think about my pending student visa application.
