Dude dont start up with insults and act hard bro if you wanna start internet problems behind a computer screen be my guest, but quit your acting cause you know you dont do that kinda talk in public.

Dr. Dre ft Snoop Dogg - Bitch Niggaz - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50KK_aDIw_E

Rage Against the Machine - Bombtrack - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tu1wAP2Baco&feature=related

Even though rage was classified as rock zack is a rapper and to me its always just been live instrumentals behind him basically morello does some hip hop effects on his guitar as well

I take offense from your comment and from your attempt to give hip hop credit for a band that is rock maybe metal, though it has some elements of rap its still rock... zach de la rocha isnt playing much rock or hip hop lately however, last I heard of him he was down in chiapas playing sones and trying to organize a concert in support of the EZLN... yeah hes a cool dude

...for those who dont know who the EZLN are maybe somone on the activist forums can illustrate you, if not google is always there

Lol Rage against the machine is rapcore Zack used to be a freestyler who would perform at venues and bars. Of course there is metal and rock elements their using instruments but you cant say they arent heavily influenced by hip hop. They cover so many rap songs its not even funny How I could just kill a man ,pistol grip pump ,fuck the police, kick out the jams ,renegades of funk, im housin , microphone fiend and morello does alot of sratching effects on his guitar which he himself has said are hip hop based. Plus all these videos show his rappin skills he was supposed to do some work with dj shadow but i guess it never got completed.

used to mdear, its they key word, yeah he is a rapper, but ratm is rock

I think its the other way around its rock/metal with a lot of rap elements, also I would like to state that influences while making what something is do not completely define something, the fact that rock originally derived, hence was greatly influenced by blues, doesnt mean that they are one and the same.

while Im set on believing ratm is rock I can understand your opinion and although not accept it understand it, in the end whilest I do not listen to rap or hip hop all that much it doesnt mean I hate it, its just not somehting I can listen to for extended periods of time and enjoy

In the end I think ratm is a great band and I dont really care what genre they are called, they still produce so mething pleasant to my ears

    fuck it

edit: his solo album the one where he collaborated with dj shadow seems to have been shelved. also if you take in to account his influences he was also influenced by the punk and hardcore movements, and a lot of mexican ummmmm "traditional" music but alas Im just repeating meself

Lol zack and morello have stated they are influenced by early punk but are hip hop based but ok theres no point in explaining all the facts where there. All music is based on something and their rapcore lol its plain and simple standard hip hop uses guitar bass and drums in their instrumentals rage just uses a live band. Morello met zack while he was freestyling at a bar and thats how the band formed. Dont you think if he met him freestyling and wanted him to form a group with him that he was going to ask him to change his style? it was because of the hip hop influence? And like you said "used" that just answered it he used to be a freestyler then he met rage and become a writer thats only difference he doesnt sing he flows you can believe them to be what you want them to be but i mean the facts are there.
