I just finished watching part of last month's 9/11 Scholars Symposium held in Los Angeles on C-SPAN, featuring members of the Scholars for 9/11 Truth organization, including Prof. Jim Fetzer, Lt. Col Bob Bowman (USAF - retd.), physics professor Steven Jones of Brigham Young University, and author of the book, 9/11 Synthetic Terror, Webster Griffin Tarpley. The event was hosted by radio talk show host Alex Jones and featured guest appearances by people such as the producer of the 9/11 documentary, Loose Change, Dylan Avery, philanthropist Jimmy Walter, 9/11 hero and survivor William Rodriguez, as well as actor Charlie Sheen. I believe that C-SPAN's airing of this event shows that the mainstream media can no longer remain silent about the growing numbers of concerned people questioning the official government lie regarding September 11th, because more and more people are beginning to smell a rat. A few months ago attention was brought to the mainstream when actor Charlie Sheen voiced his opinion that 9/11 was an inside job. The attention this issue has received in just the past six months -- when you put it in context with the amount of time before it was accepted by most that Lee Harvey Oswald didn't kill Kennedy -- is staggering. People are waking up, and as the media coverage begins to shed some light on something that has been kept in the dark for what seems like an eternity to some of us, the attack machine is in full gear. Since the media knows it cannot keep quiet the millions who are waking up, it must do everything it can to discredit those who question the official version of events by portraying these people as kooks and nutters. This has been the case on both sides of the political spectrum, but especially the gatekeeper Left, which falsely portrays itself as the harbinger of truth and justice when it's anything but. Recently on the zionist-controlled, neocon grobbling FOX News, a professor by the name Kevin Barrett was on the Hannity & Colmes show. For weeks Barrett has been under attack by neocons in the media for hosting a class about Islam which deals partly with the 9/11 coverup. Ever since the media has been leading an effort to have Barrett removed from his position at the University of Minnesota-Duluth for speaking his mind and teaching his students what he believes to be the truth. Here is the video of Barrett's appearance on Hannity & Colmes. Look at the tactics that are used by these talking heads to avoid the actual topic, while resorting instead to childish namecalling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z9TrY5URAYA&search=Kevin%20Barrett Here is Professor Jim Fetzer's appearance on Hannity from a few weeks earlier, using similar diversionary tactics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wNGQrVxotxI&search=Jim%20Fetzer With so many prominent names coming forward to voice their opinion on 9/11 -- even Republicans from the Bush and Reagan administrations -- the effort is on to discredit those in search of the truth and those looking to bring the truth to others. The talking heads in the media will use the cheapest shots in attempt to discredit the professors, physicists, structural engineers and government officials who have come forward to inform the public, never once bringing forth any evidence of their own to the table to counter the research conducted by these people. Instead, they demand we buy their ridiculous "19 Arabs with boxcutters" story, which should be absolutely ridiculous to anyone who has looked at the evidence and has an iota of ability to think critical and realize the obvious.
Rat, some months ago on a local PBS station I saw Ward Churchill of "Little Eichmanns" fame speak on the Bush administration, the war on terror, etc. Afterwards he fielded questions and asked what he thought of the theory that our own government was behind 9/11. I'm quoting him from memory, but his reply was, "No, I personally don't believe it. I'm not saying our govenment isn't capable of such an atrocity, but where is the smoking gun? Besides, when you say we did it to ourselves, you're implying that the Muslim insurgents aren't capable of pulling off such an operation, and believe me they're very capable of it." Personally I think Ward Churchill is way out in left field, but in this case I agree with him. And Rat, he's more realistic than you.
So who cares what Ward Churchill said? Ward Churchill is a total fraud who has been completely discredited. It would seem to me that he's nothing more than a government plant, or at the very least a useful idiot whose remarks were publicized to discredit the 9/11 truth movement. If I am going to listen to anyone, it's going to be people with the credentials to make such claims, but not Ward Churchill. As far as smoking guns, how many more do you need? Anyone who has looked at the evidence knows that there is not just one smoking gun, but literally dozens of smoking guns. The idea it was carried out by Arabs with boxcutters is a total joke in light of the evidence that thoroughly refutes this nonsense.
Our government planted Ward Churchill? He's really an arch-conservative posing as an ultra-liberal in order to discredit liberals?! DAY-AMN!! You're funny, PR.
The U.S. government is behind all of the 911 'truth' movements also. They make these groups look so silly to the public that people won't believe what they are saying and will believe the government instead. .
You might be on to something shaggie! From there it's not much of a stretch before it dawns on you that Pressed Rat is a government plant!
I actually believe that is true to an extent, except I wouldn't say that the government is necessarily "behind" the movement. I would say the movement was created by genuine people for genuine reasons, but, like many large movements, has probably been hijacked to a certain degree where there is some outside control and influence over it. Anyone who doesn't think the truth movement has been infiltrated and is being manipulated to some degree is naive. But the fact of the matter is that truth is indeed being heard, regardless of who or what it is coming from. I believe the research stands for itself.
It's all so clear now... Mel Gibson is a government plant to make anti-semites look like drunken jerks! Tom Cruise is a plant to discredit scientology! Jessica Simpson is a plant to make blondes look dumb! What else?!
Wow newo, you are awesome at discrediting people bringing up relevant issues, you should work for FOX news!...if anyone actually cared to watch the 9/11 scholars symposium they would have realized that Mainstream Media will not pick up on this issue...but C-span will because they know what relevant issues within the mainstream population are...and one of the biggest issues within the population of America and Europe is 911 truth. Another thing that sickened me is Shaggie calling Pressed Rat a government agent. Shaggie is the same guy who comes in these forums and tells us not to listen to 911 truthers because they are "conspiracy theorists" yet he makes his own conspiracy theory that Pressed Rat is a government disinfo agent, well guess what shaggie, if anyone here is a government disinfo agent it is you, and I am not trying to say you are one but if you are going to say Pressed Rat is a disinfo agent which he is obviously not, than you should be called one. Pressed Rat is just trying to open peoples minds just like me to the fact that the world doesnt run the way we thought it did, there are evil people in control of all of us...and we need to expose them. If you wanna run around like a little school girl and talk about all the issues the left gatekeepers love to keep you entertained with...go ahead man have fun...maybe your helping out the country a little...but not NEARLY as much as the 911 truth movement. SURE you can go around trying to stop the Iraqi war...and stop the Afghanistan Occupation....and that is definitly a good cause...but if you expose 911 for what it REALLY is you can stop those wars and ANY upcoming wars that they will conveniantly use 911 as an excuse for. Shaggie, I am sorry but we HAVE the evidence, 911 was an inside job by forces within our government who wanted to invade the Middle east for many reasons, specifically the oil pipeline through the Caspian sea and Afghanistan. And the opium flow, which the Taliban said they were going to take control of and no longer let the US have any profits from... right after this annoucement by the taliban, we suddenly have "911" happen and we "need" to go there and invade the bearded afghani terrorists so they don't take our freedom. Shaggie, why ever since 911 has the government been the only one to take our freedoms from us when they told us themsevles "the terrorists attacked us to take our freedoms because they hate us for them"? Do they wanna make the terrorists happy because they are afraid of them? lol...I highly doubt this...what seems more likely is uh.....the executive branch of the government IS THE TERRORISTS....and they are using the 911 events which they facilitated to take our freedoms from us....distract us from the corruption of OUR OWN GOVERNMENT....and use it as a way to invade the middle east for a variety of economic reasons. Open your eyes and for any of the legitimate visiters of this site...think about who benefits from this terror being brought upon us? Why do the arabs benefit from 911? All 911 did was give the US and Israel an excuse to invade the Middle East and take them over...something the Arab world WOULD NEVER WANT....just let that settle in your head for a minute and PM if you EVER wanna have a serious, reasonable discussion on this because I could tell you a lot of things you have never heard before.
Angel “I am not trying to say you are one but if you are going to say Pressed Rat is a disinfo agent which he is obviously not, than you should be called one.” What proof have you that Rat isn’t an agent? Anyone here could be an agent me, you, shaggie even skip. But let us look at some interesting facts. Rat seems to support the type of policies that would favour the wealthy elite. Rat seems to say that voting isn’t worth it, which favours the wealth sponsored political parties. Rat seems to say that it isn’t worth organising for change, which gives the wealthy elite a free hand to organise for changes that favour them. Rat seems to claim that all left wing political thinking is controlled (in fact was invented) by ‘the conspiracy’ he believes in and therefore should not be supported. Which favours the wealthy elite. Now why is it that Rat who claims to be so against the wealthy elite, seem to be supporting so much that would favour the wealthy elite and make their position stronger? ** “I could tell you a lot of things you have never heard before” Yes you could, but on past experience you couldn’t back up any of them. (you could of course prove me wrong by going back and answering all those questions you’ve evaded so far)
Balbus your just a person I dont wanna really give any time to anymore, it seems your not at all interested in a real discussion and all you wanna do is prove me wrong so you can feel better about yourself, your not gonna change my views by asking the nonsensical questions that you constantly ask me, if you ever wanna have a likeminded real conversaion fine but you are obviously not interested in doing so.
haha newo....nice pic...I always wanted a sticker that said "My Child Sold Drugs to your Honer Student at "insert school"" haha.
Thank you Angel This is something I’ve been trying to point out about the US’s political and social make up, a seemingly inability to debate, a desire not to have debates and even a feeling that debates are useless. You seem to be saying that only if I am ‘likeminded’ can you talk to me. But if people only talk to those that are likeminded they are likely to agree but how do they know if their views can stand up to criticism? Imagine if a Nazi who only talked to other Nazis, then they are likely to agree that Nazism is ok. But is Nazism OK? ** It is not as if I’m asking difficult or complex questions they are basic and natural, I’ve answered similar questions about my own views many times, you have even asked them yourself. If I couldn’t answer such questions I’d be ashamed with myself and would go away and think about it until I could reply. But you (and others) seem to feel affronted that I would even ask you such questions and appalled that I also seem to want a reply. As if to say that this is you viewpoint you don’t need to defend it. But as with the Nazi just how do you know that your views are right or desirable? ** You say that “all you wanna do is prove me wrong” well yes on many things I think you are wrong. I’m sure that many people think my views are wrong, but I think them right and am willing to defend them. That is what debate is, an idea is presented and those that think it wrong ask questions and put forward criticisms, the person that presented the idea then answers the questions and rebuts the criticisms. If an idea then stands up to scrutiny it is probably a good idea and if it doesn’t then it is probably bad. But you (and others) seem to believe that even if an idea doesn’t seem to stand up to scrutiny it is still a very good idea. Why? Because you have faith in the idea being good. The problem is that that is not politics it is religion and a fundamentalist religion at that. And to me that can be dangerous because people that don’t accept that their ideas might be wrong even when they seem irrational and unreasonable have a habit if they have power of stamping on those that think differently. Like the Nazis. **
LOL! Now recognition and acknowledgement of the substantive body of clear and physically consistent evidence of US government insider orchestration and perpetration of 911 is "fundamentalist religion" balbus??, my goodness your critiques stray further from rationality with every post you make. Keep building up that wall of denial and self-delusion to protect your presumedly legitimate status quo belief that we are not now in an era of brazen PNAC ideological expanisonist warfare, regardless of the transparency of it all to any intellectually investigative and honest mind. Perhaps its not that you question, it's that you, like shaggie, question the wrong things and persons and thereby align your beliefs with the claims (and routine debate-deadening dismissals) of repeatedly exposed liars seeking to derail the rightful and substantive scrutiny of the seminal event of the New American Century agenda and those most plausibly behind it all.
